you forgot to mention how many pages the book actually has.
(amazon is not a reliable source for paper pagecounts)

(Lachgas, the following is not directed at you...just a general rant/question to the masses. Thank you for updating the word count. My last numbered page is, in fact, 248.)

So Goodreads is owned by Amazon, and Amazon is a good enough source to actually put a book into Goodreads, but if whoever puts it in completely leaves out a page count, then it's no longer good enough to use?

Can someone please explain that to me?

Amazon uses page counts supplied by publishers etc, which quite often inflate the page count by adding advertising, chapters of other books etc.

WorldCat is preferred especially for page counts as it is input by real librarians.

GR might be owned by Amazon but that doesn't mean we use the same criteria, especially for page counts.

ETA: We also change amazon page counts when we know they are wrong, usually by members telling us they are wrong.
