Commentary: Frankenstein does make some good points about the sentience of the Bride. She might not want to be with the monster. He might find her repugnant. For the first time I'm somewhat sympathetic to his decision.
This quote was pretty powerful: "You are my creator, but I am your master;—obey!”
Also:
"I was ready to sink from fatigue and hunger; but, being surrounded by a crowd, I thought it politic to rouse all my
strength, that no physical debility might be construed into apprehension or conscious guilt."
While there's still a lot of faulty beliefs that govern our determination of someone's guilt - these types of things were even more pronounced in victorian times.
