Luke we only use the publisher stated page count for ebooks, as the page counts change over devices & font size.I found the info for the audiobook, do you have any further information on the ebook? Like publisher, dates etc.
The only details I can find are:
Based on the Moral Letters to Lucilius by Seneca, translated by Richard Mott Gummere.

Volume 1 first published 1917;
Volume 2 first published in 1920;
Volume 3 first published 1925.

Makes sense why publisher stated pages are used, I wonder if this could be possibly an exception, as the pages are published in PDF? Which when opened without a reader like Kindle Volume 2 has 307 pages.
PDFs are the exception to the rule. I didn't mention it cause nobody but me seems to use PDFs anymore.But, you've stated both 305 & 307 pages for volume 2, so which is it?
In PDFs the page counts are as follows:Volume 1: 352
Volume 2: 307
Volume 3: 315
