On the improvisation TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway, the have a game called "90-Second Alphabet", in which the performers do a given scene in which each sentence must begin with the subsequent letter of the alphabet. They only have 90 seconds to do it, but we couldn't do that here. So how about doing a horror story in that manner. For example:
reply

flag
Chad brushed the table top before he sat down with the rest, he was always fastidious about such things.
Elvish ears twitched, as Benny the garden gnome leaped up onto a stool opposite her, and said, "I hope you wearn't about to start without me?"
Ghastly shadows danced along the walls of the great library as everyone moved nervously in their seats, only Betty had a semblance of calm, her dark eyes filled with hidden emotions as she regarded the rest.
"Hold hands, everyone!" commanded Betty, as she sprinkled some fresh pig's blood onto the heavily stained Ouija board.
Keeping a wary eye on Benny and Allison, Betty reached out to the hand-carved ivory planchette on the Ouija board, and it started to move rapidly.
Looking around the room, Betty motioned to everyone to be still and not move as they watched the planchette to see what would happen next.
Moving haphazardly between the letters on the board, the planchette at first seemed at a loss to deliver any meaningful message, until finally settling on the letter 'J'. The planchette rattled and vibrated briefly over its pick, before continuing to select from the alphabet: 'u', 'n', 'o',"Juno," says Benny, looking to Allison. "I can't believe it. It spelled out 'Juno!'"
Allison does not reply, her hands are shaking, and her pallid features wear an expression like a used candle.
No one could believe that the word 'Juno,' had been spelled out with more than one sentence - everyone's mouth fell open - aghast!
Over the table, a small dark cloud started to appear out of nowhere, with small electrical discharges flashing within.
Plumes of smoke started swirling out of the cloud to settle all around the table as everyone's eyes widen with fear.
Quietly, a small rumbling began, causing the table to vibrate slightly, and then slowly increased in volume until the whole room began to shake.
I shivered and quivered with fear as I now stood in front of the table, while everyone stood frozen with shock.
The table teetered, tilted, then tumbled topsy turvy three times to thrust them towards the threshold to timeless torment -- Hell!
Unable to move, everyone was laying down on the floor paralyzed, as the whole room was plunged into an inky darkness.
Then a huge white willowy mist appeared while icy fingers of frost settled on our bodies and you could only hear the chattering of teeth.
Veiled cover of darkness settled outside and in the distance everyone could hear a low moaning sound.
Wind began beating the windows, candles flickering in the draft as the panes rattled under the onslaught of a heavy gale.
We stayed on the floor feeling terror of the unknown, stealthily creeping into the darkness of the room.
"Death is coming. Death is coming. Death is coming" Benny chanted over and over, then he fell silent.
Ensuring that Benny was okay, Allison crawled on the the cold floor, trying to find Benny in the dark.
Gripping Benny as tightly as she could, Alison looked down at his face, seeing that Benny's mouth was frozen in terror and the light was gone from his eyes.
"Help me! For Christ sake help me!" Allison implored Betty and Chad, as she cradled Benny's catatonic body.
Your best friend is on trial for being a serial killer and you are called in by the defense. It would be so easy to save them because, of course, the real killer is you.
"Justice will be mine!" screamed Benny, sitting up with a jerk, his eyes lit with a spectral red glow.
Keeping everyone calm as best she could Alison slowly moved back away from Benny as everyone turned to see what the fuss was about.
Betty just sat there wringing her hands and murmuring over and over, " Benny, Benny, Benny please be okay! "
"No, he's not gonna be ok," said Chad, placing an arm around Betty's shoulder and ushering her away from the glassy-eyed, drooling gnome. "I think he's caught a dose of zombieficationtitis. It's highly contagious. I hope the little bastard hasn't infected me!"
"But Chad! He's a gnome not a troll, can he really catch zombieficationtitis?" Betty cried out as tears smeared her mascara all over her face making her look like a zombie herself in the darkness.
