Bryan, this is your thread for 2018. I have included the link to the required format thread and an example. If you had a 2017 thread - it will be archived so when you get the opportunity move over your completed books and formats to the 2018 thread - but we will allow time for you to do that.

Please follow the standard required format below - I hope you enjoy your reading in 2018. Here is also a link for assistance with the required guidelines:

Bryan Craig JANUARY

1. Kingfish The Reign of Huey P. Long by Richard D. White Jr. by Richard D. White Jr. Richard D. White Jr.
Finish date: January 7
Genre: Biography/American history
Rating: B+
Review: This was a fascinating book with political echoes of today. The book is quite approachable and it really shows you how a dictator was forming in Louisiana.

Bryan Craig 2. Resilient America Electing Nixon in 1968, Channeling Dissent, and Dividing Government (American Presidential Elections) by Michael Nelson by Michael Nelson (no photo)
Finish date: January 17
Genre: political history
Rating: B+
Review: Since it is the 50th anniversary of the election this year, I thought I would grab this one off my shelf. Mike Nelson gives a good overview of the election, starting before the primaries. As a political scientist, he presents a straight-forward, but well-written account, a bit different than Theodore White.

Bryan Craig 3. Fire and Fury Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolff by Michael Wolff Michael Wolff
Finish date: January 20
Genre: Politics
Rating: B
Review: Toss out the quotes, but heed Wolff's analysis. Time will tell if his quotes from direct conversations will hold, and already, they are not. If you read this book, focus on what the author discusses how Trump acts, thinks, and how he sets up his shop. This material is confirmed by other journalists and Trump biographers.

Bryan Craig 4. Revenge of the Witch (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles, #1) by Joseph Delaney by Joseph Delaney Joseph Delaney
Finish date: January 29
Genre: Young Adult
Rating: B+
Review: Beware of village girls with pointy shoes. I saw this series on the library shelf and decided to give it a try. It's a fun series and kept my interest throughout.

Bryan Craig FEBRUARY

5. Curse of the Bane (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles, #2) by Joseph Delaney by Joseph Delaney Joseph Delaney

Good progress - I am surprised at your series selection - not your usual. Reminds me of my train rides into New York City - Wall Street Journal, Barrons or the New York Times going in - after hectic days - the Post or the News going out (lol)
