Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments I just finished La Belle Sauvage

message 102: by Ann (new)

Ann S | 624 comments I just finished Antarctica Troubling a Star and I think I'm done. Can't think of what to read next. I want to read a simple feel good book I bought after all the "not much choices" I have been reading and maybe finish Lost Boy: The True Story of Captain Hook. Don't know that they can be fit in somewhere or not.

message 103: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Brown | 371 comments I have finished Take One. I would like to say I could get another book done by the end of the read a thon, but I know that is wishful thinking.

This team has been amazing!!

message 104: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3266 comments Still working on Noteworthy, which I'm loving so far although it's taking me longer than expected. Somehow I find on days where I have more time to read, I end up reading less.

message 105: by Erica (new)

Erica | 555 comments I’ve been a bit down the last few days (pregnancy hormones) so I’m switching to a funny book: Let’s Pretend This Never Happened

Not sure if I’ll finish this or any of the others before the readathon is over though. I work on the weekends and they are the busiest days at work so I’ll probably crash early tonight.

Silvia Turcios | 1058 comments At what time is the latest I can finish a book on Sunday to be included in the read-a-thon? Hopefully, I will finish my book before, but I want to know

message 107: by Lieke (new)

Lieke | 697 comments I finished Deadlocked, I have a list with shelves it can be used for somewhere....

Silvia, whatever time you started the readathon last sunday is the time you have to stop this sunday. So if you started the readathon at noon, you have until noon this sunday.

How does it work if you can't remember what time? Lol. I assumed we had until midnight on Sunday, so I didn't pay attention to what time I started.

What she meant, is that the read-a-thon finish at the same hour that started.
These hours:
START:
January 28 @ 12:00 PM (EST)
END:
February 4 @ 11:59 AM (EST)
But you need to check what time is this time (EST) in your country. I was asking, because I was not sure how long before the end of the read-a-thon should I report my last book, but apparently, everything before that hour counts :)

message 113: by Silvia (new)

Silvia Turcios | 1058 comments I finished with Ghost in the Shell .... I still don't understand it :'( ... I know is a classic ... but I can't understant it!!!

It counts for Cyber-punk.

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments Hey team, I'm going to bed now, the read-a-thon is over for me. I didn't manage to finish another book, but 3 was my goal so I'm pretty happy.

It was a pleasure teaming with you guys, I hope you had a great time!

message 117: by Erica (new)

Erica | 555 comments I’m done too. I started at noon my time so stopped at noon my time too. I’m more than happy with the 4 books I finished, and I put a dent into a couple more. More than my usual for a week for sure.

message 118: by Silvia (new)

Silvia Turcios | 1058 comments I still have more than 6 hours, so I will let you know if I can finish my book :)

message 124: by Perri (last edited Feb 04, 2018 11:33AM) (new)

Perri | 886 comments Hold up. one I thought was too short at 144 does work. I read How to Speak Chicken: Why Your Chickens Do What They Do & Say What They Say
2017, 2018, currently- reading

message 125: by Chinook (new)

Chinook | 639 comments I’I finished off Bones of the Earth and I’m done - sadly I’m on solo child duty the rest of Sunday and am unlikely to read at all after now.

The readathon was a good kick in the ass to polish off some shorter reads I had planned, which was great since next I’m reading a doorstop or two for various book clubs.

message 126: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3266 comments I'm honestly still a little confused about the end time. I still have about 8 hours until midnight for me, so just wondering if it's worth updating with my progress still.

message 127: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments Rachel, your end time might be different and other's, it depends on when you started last Sunday!

message 128: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3266 comments Sophie wrote: "Rachel, your end time might be different and other's, it depends on when you started last Sunday!"

As I said in another thread, I have no idea what time I started so if it's contingent on start time, then I'm sure I'm done by now, lol. When I asked about it previously, I was told that it was until midnight in whatever my time zone is, which is still a good few hours away. Just a bit confusing when everyone starts and stops at different times...

message 129: by Bryony (new)

Bryony (bryony46) | 1081 comments Rachel, officially the read-a-thon finished at 11.59 EST. But as we have members from all over the world it doesn’t really make sense to be strict and insist everyone’s start time is based on the same time zone. We just trust everyone to pick a start time that works for their time zone and then end their read-a-thon a week later.

I’m sure nobody will be too upset if you fit in an extra hour or two of reading if you’re not sure of your start time though. :-)

message 130: by Bryony (new)

Bryony (bryony46) | 1081 comments I finished News of a Kidnapping today. I didn’t read quite as much as I’d hoped this week, but it’s been lots of fun reading along with everyone. Thanks for being such a fun team. :-)

Thanks, that's where I was getting confused. I'm in the EST time zone, and it is only 6:30 now, so when I saw a lot of messages saying people were already done, I thought I'd misunderstood something.

message 132: by Tabitha (new)

Tabitha | 38 comments 58 books! message 26 and 47 are updated. Great job Yellow Team! I have had so much fun reading with all of you. Thank you for being a great motivator.

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments Thanks Tabitha for your job as an awesome team captain!

message 135: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3266 comments I finished off Noteworthy earlier today. Not sure if that was included in the total since I didn't update until now. I'm about halfway through Little House on the Prairie, which I hoped to finish today but ran out of time.
