Charley's dating's scheme with Cookie is exposed! Ubie finally got wind of what Charley was up to and turned the tables on her! What did you think of his revenge? LOL

P.S. The title of this chapter is one of my all time favorite sayings! It's all fun games until....

Mel | 829 comments I loved it!!!! Like I said in an earlier reply, I really thought Ubie was mad at Charlie. He is a much better actor than either Cookie or Charley.

I also felt a little sorry for Cookie for having to go through so much to get Ubie to finally ask her out. Charley's antics are crazy and she had to live through them.

I love Ubie. He is so lovable. I hope he and Cookie live happily-ever-after together.

Men can be so blind and stubborn when it comes to women. haha So not surprised that he didn't ask her out sooner. He definitely needed a Charley scam to have him open his eyes.

I agree totally, Candie. Men can be very dense. I still love Ubie even if he is a dense and stubborn man. He has always been there for Charley.

Hey look! Free eyeball! Yep, one of my favorites too Candie!

That was a great scene. He was still stubborn. Well? Instead of just saying, will you go out with me. Damn that Ubie. ;) Oh, but I love him to death. Yes Robert. Now, before you can change your mind. Ahhh, Cookie deserves a great guy like Ubie.

Yes, they so deserve each other! :-)

Angie Bee | 59 comments I've been reading ya'll comments and been dying to chime in. I finally figured it out on my IPad. I knew Uncle Ubie saw what they were up to by the second date. And the whole thing reeked of Charley. That's why he hired the psychic Wynona Jakes to make Charley jealous. I loved how Uncle Ubie turned the tables on them but didn't take it out on Cookie. I liked that Cookie rushed to ask Ubie out before he changed his mind. Now off to comment on other chapters. Again I'm sorry I was tardy for the party.
:-(

I was late to the party too, Angie. Great to have you.

Suzan (suzi1811) | 42 comments I thought it was very clever and hilarious when the trick was revealed! I really believed it for a minute until he revealed the truth of it! I always knew he'd seen through Charley's scheme! She however fell for his trick completely!

Thanks so much Mel. Are you the same Mel that use to post reviews on the BDB series?

No, Angie. I am sorry. I do not belong to the BDB group but it is great to chat with you here.

Angie Bee | 59 comments Yes it's okay to chat here. I thought you were the Mel from the BDB group. She's a real whoot.
Do you read the Fever Series by Karen Marie Monung?

Ya, I love Jericho! He is my screensaver on my laptop. I cannot wait for Dani's next book. I hope she is older though. It was a little creepy to me for the older guys to have such an interest in her. I do understand they are thousands of years old, very patient and looking at her soul and potential as she grows but ...

Have you ever read Laurann Dohner's Species Series? If you enjoy animalistic alphas, you might want to check them out.

Angie Bee | 59 comments No I haven't. I will give it a try. I've heard that Dani will be 19 in the next book. On the authors Facebook page she'll post Burned teasers starting Aug 15 and each month going forward until the Jan 20th release date.

I am always torn about teasers. On one hand, I wanna know what will happen really, really bad but on the other I find them as frustrating as an empty container of cookies.

Nineteen is better.

message 16: by Angie (new)

Angie Bee | 59 comments I know how you feel. I won't read the Burned teasers because I don't want them to ruin the book.

Nika ♥Marie♥ (mylknhoney) | 17 comments I love Cookie and Ubie. I think they are great together and will keep Charley in line to the best of their ability.

In plus who doesn't want a free eyeball.

message 19: by Dawn (new)

Dawn Cavenee | 4 comments I like how Ubie responded in kind to the trick that Charley & Cookie played on him. Both Ubie and Cookie are great with Charley. They understand her and support her fully. They will, in my opinion, be a wonderful couple. So glad to see them finally together. :)
