EmmaMay | 12 comments You know who I mean. You took a chance on an unknown author and they just blew your mind. Instantly catapulting themselves on to your must-buy / favourite author lists.
Even better if they have a back catalogue - happy days.

Share with me your fave recent discoveries - and here are some of mine.

Jane Cousins Southern Sanctuary series is just wonderful. Hilarious and just downright witty - be careful about reading these in public. And the romances are two parts sizzling/one part sweet. Sigh.
Start with To Woo A Warrior To Woo A Warrior (Southern Sanctuary, #1) by Jane Cousins and work your way through to recently published book 11 To Fight A Fate To Fight A Fate (Southern Sanctuary, #11) by Jane Cousins

Then check out Isabel Jordan if you haven't already. She's funny, and the romances are hot. Start with Semi Charmed Semi-Charmed (Harper Hall Investigations, #1) by Isabel Jordan and don't stop reading until you hit recently published book 5.

There we go - that should start you off. Now it's time to share your recent finds.

Very gritty. The main character is portrayed to have no ematoonal feelings. She is very unlikable at first. Not for everyone, but i enjoyed it.

Nerdy Werewolf (nerdywerewolf) Brand-new authors that knocked my socks off:

Carysa Locke for Pirate Nemesis (Telepathic Space Pirates Book 1) by Carysa Locke -I picked it up not really knowing what to expect and what I got was space pirates with a ton of action, supernatural powers, talking animals and an adventure story that read like urban fantasy. I've already pre-ordered the second book.

Meg Collett (who may not be new-new, but she was new to me!) for Fear University (Fear University, #1) by Meg Collett -This turned out to be an awesome urban fantasy with a really jacked-up heroine and some truly underused locations and monsters. I cannot wait to finish this series!

Last but not least, Maria Lewis for Who's Afraid? (Tommi Grayson #1) by Maria Lewis Who's Afraid Too? (Tommi Grayson #2) by Maria Lewis -A Maori/Scottish globe-hopping blue-haired kick-ass werewolf? Can too much awesome fit into a sentence, because it just happened. She's got an urban fantasy mermaid book out too that I can't wait to read!

Succubus Bargain (The (un)Lucky Succubus Book 1) by L.L. Frost
Succubus Bargain (The

An interesting story of a stubborn Succubus trying to make a life for her self beyond her powers that has you hook from chapter one.

But if your looking for an amazing read check out books by Amy Sumida especially the godhunter series i just finished Monsoons and Monsters Monsoons and Monsters (The Godhunter, #22) by Amy Sumida and could barely put it down till I was done. Mythology, mystery, suspense, drama, passion, and more Amy Sumida is truly one of my favorite authors of all time. This is the first book in the series Godhunter (The Godhunter, #1) by Amy Sumida Godhunter

I've really enjoyed this series but it looks like it might be ended and it leaves it in a cliffhanger. They are short UF police procedurals.

I read all four of them and am hoping for the next one to come out soon. I enjoyed the characters and the story line and idea.
