Simon | 4 comments Trying to find a single book. I read a digital version after 2012. It was a fairly recent book at the time, so I don't think it could be pre-2010.

The cover was of a B-52 cockpit seen from the outside.

Here's what I remember: A B-52 crash site is found by a satellite image processing software and the software author and a friend (at least one, I believe) decide to visit the wreckage. I think the wreck might have been in Alaska. There are forests and mountains in the book.

They have to travel by boat, to get close to the crash site. There is some kind of cover up related to the crash (maybe something to do with nuclear weapons the bomber was carrying) and a government agent that is protecting the site is trying to kill them.

Spoiler below

The agent is on top of a mountain sniping them. At least one of the explorers is shot and their boat wrecked. The remaining explorer finds and takes the government agent's boat + documents and flees south to a big city in SW USA (Los Angeles? San Francisco?).

That's about all I can remember. Strange thing is I can find no record of purchase of the e-book anywhere.

Thanks for any help.

Can we eliminate Rules of Betrayal by Christopher Reich?

message 3: by Simon (new)

Simon | 4 comments It's not Rules of Betrayal... The crash is in NW USA, and I don't recall any of the characters being married.
