I enjoyed this one, as the writing was still excellent, but it didn't have the same feel as A Wizard of Earthsea did for me. While I enjoyed all of the history and worldbuilding, I don't think that much from this will stick with me.
Not sure if I will continue the series or not.
I’m about 2/3 of the way through and I’m loving the story telling. I agree though that plot-wise, this seems like more of a filler book so far. Don’t know how it’s going to end though, so my opinion may change.

When Ged is introduced we are already far into the book. It gets a bit more interesting then.
Problem is that with the events happening in this book I still don’t see why Ged would become Earthsea’s greatest wizard.
a pretty boring book for me ... I rated it 2 stars
