Or it could be the Magnificent Seven meets Dr. Who. Nick did you mean 1:30 AM or 13:30 in the after noon? Nick you are making it hard I am trying to be good and not spoil anything.
I can see that to mrbooks, I'm more of a twilight zone guy, but you bring up a good connection, Dr. Who makes sense traveling to different times. I like this group everyone seems to bring up good points, and different points of view I haven't considered.

I did mean 1:30 AM (the middle of the night). BTW: that's a pretty good way to identify British writers who are pretending to be American (As in 50 shades) they give the time from a 24-hour clock and talk about following baseball matches, and they always want tea rather than coffee (though I always liked the coffee in England). Oh, and they definitely prefer the word arse. What can I say?
LOL The English tea is good, but I am a coffee lover and the best coffee I've had is Italian. I spent a 5 days and 4 night there and fell in love with the place. I got a funny feeling I will be going back again and again. I sort of thought it was 1:30 am or as we say 0130 I spent 20 years in the military and still work around the military so for the last 40 plus years I have been using the 24hr clock, Lots of practice.
I’m kind of partial to Columbia myself in the morning and Cabernet in the evening... I also prefer the early morning and evening temps around 10 C both perfect for coffee and wine
I just finished the book. It was great! I think everyone here brought up some good points. I caught the 11/22/63 reference here too. These were some of my favorite parts:1) Jake has really become a great character. We see (view spoiler)
2) The writing is amazing. The fact that King brings a character from another book here, is great. It shows so much creativity. But, then (view spoiler)
3) I think Roland became more human to me too in this story. He certainly shows a lot of emotion.
This one is one of my favorites in the series.

Of course in Song of Susanna, they explore the fact that there are living characters from another book in their story (Calahan as you mention from Salem's Lot). In fact (as you probably know) they even visit Mr. King in Song, and he becomes a character in the book himself.
