Hello! I'm so sorry I didn't check in before now but I didn't see that teams had been posted! I finished a book this week but didn't know that I was doing this challenge, so I may be able to fit it in somewhere.

Hi Alyssa, glad you've found your way here after all!

You will not be able to use a book you've read earlier this week though. The rules clearly state that you have to pick a category and roll the die before you choose a book.


We've got a bit of an unusual situation going on now, because we've had a back-up player assigned when you didn't show last week, so we now have six players instead of five. I'll defer to Lanelle's judgment on what to do about that. She'll probably pop by the thread later today to let us know what she thinks.

Also, I have a question. Since my date 4 requirement says the main character has to be able to change shape, would the concept of polyjuice potion in Harry Potter count, or would I need to find a book with a legitimate shapeshifter?

I'm swapping out my book for my 3rd date. I'll update my post. I think it's 14. That book is going very slowly for me and I can no longer use for another team challenge. I happen to be reading another book that fits the requirement for this.

I'd think it would count, after all the whole group including Great Britain, Ireland, and the surrounding smaller islands is officially known as the British Isles.

I'm sticking with my LOTR theme and reading Fellowship of the Ring next. UPdating post 14. Then again maybe not. I rolled a 6 for Age and I know Gandalf is a main character and ageless/immortal. But I don't know if it specifically says that in the book. So far I can't find that proof when doing various word searches. I might have to pick something else after I read this for another team challenge.
