valhalla, usa. 2022.

a small town hidden in the foothills of the rocky mountains, valhalla's only connections to the outside world are the internet, the phone line, and the narrow loose gravel road that winds through the hills to reach it. in the past twenty-one years, a total of twelve new families have moved in, bringing the population to a little over a thousand.

now there's another five newcomers — friends who live in the same house, and spend their days out hiking. nobody knows very much about them — other than that they're hiding something. but isn't everyone here?
