Based off a Twilight Zone episode...?

I haven't read the book, but upon reading the description, I couldn't get the Twilight Zone episode "Long Live Walter Jameson" out of my head.
Definitely not a bad thing, but would love to know if anyone else thought the same, if they've seen the author reveal his inspiration.
Wouldn't a modern take on Twilight Zone episodes make for a lovely series of novels or short stories...? Hmm....

I absolutely agree with you that "Long Live Walter Jameson" was on my mind while I read this. Glad to know someone else remembers that story.
