I think it started a touch slow for both of us but it sure didn't stay that way!
Chapter 13 Page 63 Ah, I was wondering where the title came from! Got chills right up my spine, especially when they tied in the dog!
Chapter 15
It's getting a little creepy at times with the Wolfe Pack fan club. Those people made me shudder!
A little off the plot too! I hope Maggie stays safe!
I'm on chapter 27. Am watching hockey and reading during the comerciales! This is hard to put down!
This is a great idea, Crumb! This is my first real buddy read as I didn't do so well last time! I'm not sure how much to say so I may need a bit of help. It sure is great fun, though! I'm so pleased you asked me to be a buddy! Thanks so much! xx

and don't worry, I will not comment on anything passed chapter 27.
Chapter 13, we learn about the Daisy that is not the dog.. That was truly horrifying. If Hamish had a role in it, which I believe it seems like he did.. then he is guilty. 'Daisy in Chains' was the name of the Snuff video that was created. Pete thought that something may have gone horribly wrong, and that Daisy got killed during the making of the video. After that, she vanished. What happened to Daisy? I am so interested in finding out.
Also, Owl, who is it that is in Maggie's house? She is so secretive about it. Do you have any ideas? I'm completely befuddled on who it could be.
The Wolfe Pack.. creepy. Sirroco? What is it with women wanting to be with serial killers? And the writing underneath Maggie's table.. who put it there? It's creepy!
And who left the origami paper rose in Maggie's house? And the doors being unlocked? And the chairs? If I were Maggie I'd get the hell out of the house.. but she isn't. It is odd to me.
Feel free to comment on any of these things or anything you want!

The dog. That's very creepy. When I read that I got a chill up my spine. So begs the question. How can he be innocent??
Honestly I do not understand women who are "soul mates" with serial killers. How desperate can you be??
And the point about wives/girlfriends of killers - how often are they aware of it &/or are a willing participant, before ths killer gets caught? Then if the man is convicted, how risky is it that the women would carry on killing? Or vice versa.
I'm not sure I've come across that scenario before, have you? It'd be a great twist for a book!
An even bigger twist could be that the woman is the killer!
I'm thinking Maggie is in big danger of whomever is getting into her house. The origami paper rose being left gives me shivers!
This is suspense at it's best so far!
Starting chapter 26

I have trouble with the mental picture of this high powered, successful attorney up front and center in a court of law, trying to overturn a murder conviction, with bright blue hair.
If you were on the jury would it make you take her less seriously? I'd like to think I wouldn't be that shallow but main line society may have their own thoughts about it.
It's a comical picture all the same, haha
Good for Sharon for adding something funny by taking a serious 'ice queen', as Pete said once, character and giving her blue hair! LOL ice queen, indeed!
Do you think there's something brewing between Maggie and Pete? Curious.....

Ooohhh! I knew there had to be somebody out there that would think up that twist! As many books we've read I'm a bit surprised it hasn't come up more often.
And no. I haven't read that author. I'll be looking out for the recc.
Where are you in the book.
The thoughts I just had are just ones I'm curious about. I'm further in the book than the comments.
This is just sooo fun!

I'm on chapter 82! Yes, I am reading because it is so good. And that's why I am kind of not wanting to say anything because I'm not sure where you are... where are you?
The blue hair.. yes she said that she saw a play of the Midsummer's Night Dream and there was a fairy with blue hair, she thought it was so beautiful.. but she was 16 and her parents would not let her dye her hair, and then she was working in a firm where her blue hair wouldn't jive too well, and then finally she was able to do it!
I keep trying to envision what Maggie looks like.. I keep thinking of her as being this high powered, ice-queen with blue hair. Like you, it seems odd to me, though. I can't really picture her in court.. but then again, she is so self-assured, so .. maybe?

And who is it in her house?? I'm completely stumped!

What page are you on?
"He loves me" page 198
End of chapter 53
Yes, Pete and Maggie, but....
I'm completely baffled about who is in her house, twin sister it is not, dead or otherwise....?? Maybe....

Would you like me to wait to post my review until you are finished?

I'll probably finish today. I can't stop reading either! Life got in the way last night or I probably would have read a lot further!
No need to wait to post review. I won't be reading it, anyway.
It's so good!

Very clever!
And that's just for starters!
Finished a few hours ago and will post my review in the morning as I'm falling asleep! but wasn't it incredible? So many twists!

I can't believe it ended up that Maggie was Daisy! Shocking..
Liz and Hamish?!
Did Hamish even have a role in anything? What do you think?
Liz as Sirocco was very clever..

Have to be somewhere this morning but will get back to you!
I lost track of how many times I said "what the heck is going on!?? And "What??! " And "Holy h$&% (heck)!!"
lol

I know! Liz and Hamish??
Maggie is Daisy????
Holy.. Wow!
Sharon Bolton is a genius!

Hope you're having a good start to your weekend!
xxx

Clearly Daisy was the killer.
Was she planning to keep killing?
I'm thinking that she framed Hamish to punish him for rejecting her?
What do you think?

Let's do it again soon!!
xx
I figured you had to work =o)
Posting my review now!
