Editing in the Traitor Son cycle

I'm just about to read the last of this series and I've enjoyed it - but the [lack of] editing makes it really hard work. people and places even change name from book to book. Did anyone else find this hard going? It's so rare to find a good fantasy series which is so very poorly edited. The main reviews don't even seem to mention this.

I thought this got better as the series went on. I recall the first one in particular as being a bit onerous.

Was it self-published? Then you can blame the author. If there was a publisher involved, they certainly should have exerted some diligence. In either case, IMO you should email and complain. If it's an e-book a fix could easily be made.
