gus is somewhat closed off at first glance, but once you get to know him, you'll realize he is much more than that. though he usually is not one to start conversations - he doesn't want to be a bother - he will gladly hold a friendly conversation with you no matter who you are. he is usually seen smiling the slightest bit, whether it's forced or pure bliss.lived in an average home in a suburb with his two loving parents and a dog. the neighborhood he lived in was casually religious-based, and he went to church almost every sunday. he made a few friends here and there. was occasionally bullied, but it never got too serious. it shaped his personality somewhat, and even though it helped him see the best in people, it also isolated him from people because he didn't want that feeling he received when he was bullied again. he came out literal minutes before heading to college to get his associate's degree.

Augustin had threw on a jacket and put his earbuds in his ears before heading outside into the crisp autumn air. He had been sitting in his apartment for a few days, so he found it necessary to get some fresh air and maybe some tea with himself. After coming to university, he left his family and acquaintances so he could get used to anew environment, hopefully figuring out what he wants to do later in life during his time spent getting his associate’s. He stepped into the shop, his music queue ending as soon as he walked in, and ordered an earl grey tea with mint. “Thank you!” he smiled and took his drink before turning around to find a spot to sit. It wasn’t too packed, but it was a small place in general. He searched the place for a seat, but his eyes stopped on “Sorry, um, Minghao?” he asked and hesitantly walked over to him, weakly smiling. His face went red with embarrassment; he knew that the celebrity had probably gone here for mere peace and quiet, and yet here he was.
After the color in his face faded into a more normal shade, Augustin swallowed and nodded. "Yeah. Um, sorry." He rubbed the back of his neck before disguising it as him running his hands through his hair, and sheepishly smiled. "I'm sure you've been getting this all day. Um, I adore Seventeen, honestly." He overthought how he was speaking. He was anxious, and couldn't help but overthink his simple word choice. He fidgeted with the hot mug in his hand, tracing the handle of the cup with his thumb.
Augustin nodded and sat down when he gestured to sit across from him. "Um, it's Gus," he said, crookedly smiling in response. He felt bad, for he didn't want to intrude on what was probably his alone time. The pink left his cheeks but he continued to fidget with his hands in his lap. "It's great to meet you." He ran a hand through his hair as he took a sip of his tea, still nervous despite his assurance.
That got Augustin to laugh. "I swear I'm not just a nervous stranger!" he joked, still chuckling as he took another sip. "Just visiting here?" He glanced at his piercings, they were cute.
"Um, this place is pretty shitty, so don't expect much while you're here performing," Augustin replied, a soft smile still evident on his face. It was weird hearing him talk in real life. He at first was surprised at what he said, but his smile only widened and he chuckled. "Yep, me too."
Augustin nodded, a little too quickly, and rubbed the back of his neck to ease the slight embarrassment he had. "Yeah, um, I started listening in on them in 2016." He found the head tilt adorable, it was so him.
Augustin took a pause before nodding again, not wanting it to be obvious that he was overthinking the timing of his nod in this moment. He just wanted to make sure he wasn't bothering him at all. "Ever since 17 Carat," he replied after taking another sip from his cup. He found his accent cute whenever he spoke. "Um, yeah, I'm really excited."
Augustin's smile only widened seeing him smile. He covered half of his face with his hands so his smile wouldn't appear so ridiculous. "You're too sweet," he mumbled, his voice muffled through his hands.
Augustin blushed when Minghao reached for his hand and pulled it away from his face, leading him to fiddle with his thumbs again. "Aw, that's good to hear! Not sure why somebody would try to steal somebody's hair, even though yours is pretty great."
He ran a hand through his curly hair. "This? It's too boring, especially compared to yours." He chuckled again. He didn't want to be taking up the boy's time if he didn't want him to, so he continued to be slightly nervous, despite Minghao's assuring words.
Augustin nodded before blushing, hearing what he had to say. "...I can show you around," he said absentmindedly before his blush grew on his face. "Only if you'd like, though! I was just thinking because you wanted to know your way around here and... i don't know, um..." He didn't mean to get all flustered, but he did. He probably looked like a complete idiot.
Augustin looked down at his hands in his lap so his blush wouldn't be as evident, but it was still blatantly there. "Yeah, if you'd like," he said, quiet than his speaking voice before. He thought his face couldn't get any warmer until Minghao commented on his nervousness, at a loss for words to respond.
"I should be the one saying, um, sorry," he quickly replied after hearing him apologize. He nearly jumped in his seat when he heard his phone vibrate, and stood up when Minghao did. "Okay, hopefully I'll see you around?" he said, smiling and waving awkwardly as the boy walked out into a crowd of people. He couldn't imagine what a life like that would be life. Was that encounter even real? He took another sip of his tea and realized that he had finished it, setting it back down on the table. He popped his earbuds back in and felt obliged to listen to Seventeen, so that's exactly what he did as he left the shop minutes later.
Augustin pushed through the people that were waiting outside the coffee shop for the celebrity, and watched as the van began to drive away. He didn't think he would, but he caught Minghao's eye again and grinned, happy and surprised that he had noticed him.

God, he felt so out of place. He debated not going because of the overwhelming crowd, but he really wanted to see him again, so he settled on showing up. He stood around anxiously, wrapping and unwrapping his finger around a loose string on his jacket as he looked around for the van.
Gus saw as the van arrived, driving to the back of the venue, and he nearly covered his ears at the sound of a few kids screaming in excitement. He searched for Minghao, but knew he was merely getting ready to perform. He wanted to see him again more than he wanted himself to, it was almost embarrassing. He was just nervous that Minghao just thought he was a burden when at the tea shop.
Augustin peered over the rest of the audience as best as he could with his somewhat short stature, his eyes settling on Minghao. He realized that he was already looking at him, though. He beamed and cautiously waved at him through the crowd, delighted to see him again, even though it was from a distance.
Augustin stood behind a couple overexcited fans, wishing he had taken someone along with him here. Maybe his roommate or something? He wasn't sure; he honestly wanted to be beside Minghao, but that was necessarily an option when he was a performer in Seventeen.
Augustin pulled out his CD from his jacket pocket and smiled eagerly at Vernon as he held out the album towards him a little. After an enthusiastic exchange of conversation and smile, he went through the hiphop and vocal units, occassionally glancing at Minghao. As if he would disappear if he didn't check on him every once in a while
Augustin got through the rest of the table besides Minghao, at the very end. Each member of Seventeen had signed the front of his CD, and he was the only one missing. He approached the boy again, sheepishly smiling. "So we meet again," he said, unsure if it sounded awkward or not.
He blushed as his number was written on his hand and he winked, chuckling to reply. "Will do," he replied, not meaning for it to leave his mouth as quietly as it did. He was honestly flustered around him
Augustin laughed as the two playfully argued, not knowing what to say during the situation. He glanced down at his hand and laughed. Never did he just get his phone number at a fansign, The concept confused him, but he wasn't complaining one bit.
Augustin laughed and ran a hand through his curly hair so it would be out of his face. "Of course I am, getting tea with an amazing person only to see them perform that night sounds like a pretty great day," he pointed out, thinking whether or not it was weird to call him an amazing person to his face.
Gus nodded and pointed at his hand with Minghao's phone number on it, smiling. "I'll see you around," he cooed in response, waving before looking at his signed album in his hand.
As he began to walk away, he turned to watch Minghao throw a pokeball in the air before catching it and hiding behind the table. This caused Augustin to chuckle, covering his mouth with a hand, before turning on his heel so he could see the boy. “You good?” he asked quietly, still trying to get over his cute laugh.
