Fishface | 18929 comments According to the FBI, who ought to know, what does the typical confidence trickster (also known as a con man, bunko artist, or scam artist) typically do after getting in trouble with the law for a scam?

A) Typically, he or she has several totally different scams going at once and stops using the one that led to an arrest
B) Typically, he or she will use this experience to come up with a better, more savvy version of the original scam
C) Typically, he or she changes to a new name, goes to a new location, and starts up the same old scam again
D) Typically, he or she goes right back to the same area and starts up again with the same old scam

Cobwebs-Iced-Across-SpaceTime (readingreindeerproximacentauri) I'd think D.

Fishface | 18929 comments D stands for DING DING DING! Correct! Only a rare, master's-level scam artist even has the brains to change to an alias or go to a new city where the police wouldn't know him. Tsk!
