Speaking of that, I wonder if he'll even stay a vampire. Especially with this curse, he seems to absolutely despise it. I doubt that he'll stay a vampire. Maybe there's a way to turn back human? And now it looks like Jace is kind of possessed but not really??? Honestly, with all that has happened, the worst thing that they could’ve done was leave Jace alone in a room with Sebastian. I don’t like that Camille is free. Now, she’s probably going to start manipulating Alec with immortality. And, what happened to Maureen? She seems to have become kind of psychopathic ever since turning into a vampire, so that can’t be good news. (hide spoiler)]

There were so many relationship problems in this book. Why would Alex let Camille go? All she did was make him upset about immortality.

I love Sebastian/Jonathan so I’m glad we get more of him haha I feel like it was too easy the way that he died in the last book so I suspected he’d find a way to come back or that he wasn’t really dead. And what better way to take revenge than to use your kind-of brother to hurt both him and your sister along the way.

I’m a little bit confused about Simon, how he says he’s not in love with Clary anymore. Like, you don’t just fall out of love that easily. It’s been like 2 months.

Alec is one that really disappoints me in this book, the way he lets Camille affect him about Magnus so much. I thought they were happy! Don’t let her ruin it. (hide spoiler)]

I'm glad it wasn't just Jace being super moody, because that's what it felt like for a while there. Of all the couples in the whole series, Jace/Clary is probably my least favorite. Like 90% of their relationship has been nothing but problems. Honestly, they should just cut their losses and give up. I like how the other characters have developed so far, especially Simon and Alec, who are much more confident than they started. (hide spoiler)]

Simon's pov is honestly so fresh!
And the dialogue between him and Jace is fun to read. If only they would admit one day that they don't actually hate each other...they can be great friends!!
With Kyle, Camille, Raphael, Luke and Simon, it feels like we are following a completely different lot of characters than those in previous books. Earlier characters' involvement seems to have significantly paled in this book.

We got to see Jem!! Hope there's more of him later.
