Melissa Reads (minxreadsalot) | 77 comments Can you please update the page number for ISBN: 039957557X to 448 pages? I have included Amazon's link to the book.

Empress (the_empress) Updated to 436 as per Worldcat.

reverted my change.

Amazon is not the most accurate source and often includes content we do not count towards the book page count. As the book page count was added by a user and that information takes priority I will leave it at 416. If you have the book in hand and advise the content on the pages 417 we may update.

I own the book. It’s 436 pages of story. The content on the last page starts with "This wasn't here when I first inspected the painting," I am not trying to pull a scam and if you would like a screen shot then I will send it to you. I just though that the hardcover version should be accurate. No worries if you don't want to change it for your own reasons.

I don't think any thinks you are trying to "pull a scam". Users often ask for pages to be changed to what is on Amazon. You did, even though you later said the story ends on 436.

What's on pages 437-448?

It ends at 436 - the extra pages are filler in the front. I gave 448 pages because I have never added a book before, and when I ask for page requests I have to provide a source to show the updated page number.

While checking WorldCat for verification is something we suggest librarians do before making changes to page count, a user's book in hand trumps any website -- at least for print editions.

However, a librarian recently changed the page count for that ISBN to 432, with a note that it was based on book-in-hand.

Based on our guidelines for page counts (see https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/2...), does 432 make sense to you?

432 does make sense but it is so weird because my book starts at 1 and goes to 436. Still 432 is closer than 416, so it is all good. thank you for the education ;D

Cassandra (cassanj) | 4919 comments I'm glad I stumbled across this; I myself corrected the page count from book in hand the other day, and I must've inadvertently typed a 2 instead of a 6. I have it here in front of me, and it does indeed end at 436; I'll make the correction. I'm sorry for the confusion!
