In the novel, The Living and The Dead by Jason, it mainly shows us a couple whos' ran around everywhere throughout a city infested with zombies. The boyfriend or husband (unsure) would kill the zombies with an axe and a gun, but eventually got turned into one once the woman he was with got scratched. The art wasn't colorful, as it portrayed a dark theme, giving it a "horror" sensation. In my opinion, I feel as if the novel was pretty good as it shows the bond between the couple and what they had to do to stay alive. Although the part that was "messed up" was when the woman got scratched and never told the man, turning him to one. I'd definitely recommend the book.
