Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) I hope to read 100 books and 40,000 pages. I have done this in the past but as a grandmother of twins, and the free nanny, I don't know if this is doable.

Blagica | 12953 comments Hi Nancy I hope you have an amazing time getting through every book this year!

Bibliophile Britt (bibliophilebritt) | 30 comments Reading is one of my grandmother's and my favorite activities to do together! We have always had a sort of book club; reading the same books and then discussing them once we were done. When you're grandbabies are older I am sure they will love and appreciate your passion for reading!

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Bibliophile Brit - I only wish I could read to my twin grand babies, but at 2 and a half, Gabby doesn't sit still and Henry only wants to play with his trucks. But as a true reader, I'm not giving up.

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Thanks Tammy - I also hope you have an amazing reading year.

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Blanjica - my book blahs seem to be better this moth

message 12: by Nancy from NJ (new)

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Blajica - thanks for writing. My book blahs seem to be better this month. I am in the midst of two books and quite frankly I don't know how people read this way sometimes with many books at the same time. I plan on finishing one of them today and the other one at the end of the week.

Also hope your reading is going well.

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Not so sure how great I'm doing since I just lowered my challenge number. I though I could do 100 books but now seems as though the realistic number is 50.

Well, that's great as well isn't it (my goal for this year is 48)? Some read more, some read less. It's all about how you are enjoying your reads, right? Hope you'll find some gems along the way Nancy!

Cool! I already had Little Fires Everywhere on my TBR and have added You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone, sounds heartbreaking...

message 20: by Nancy from NJ (new)

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Susan - yes , You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone is sad. Let me know how you enjoyed this when you read it.

Blagica | 12953 comments A book is a dream that you hold in your hand. I hope that April brings you many more five star reads. Do you have a stand out book so far this year?

message 22: by Nancy from NJ (new)

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) Yes Blajic. I have a couple of stand out books. One is You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone by Rachel Lynn Solomon and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. But my very favorite is All the Rivers: A Novel by Dorit Rabanyin, an Israeli author. Do not miss this book. Beautiful written with a most difficult situation today.
