Is anyone out there a Cassandra Clare fan. Have you always wanted to be one but her books "kinda" intimidate you. Well you're in luck. With her last book in the Dark Artifices trilogy coming out at the end of the year I thought it would be cool to read her books through out the year. In her main series the Mortal Instruments, the Infernal Devices, and lastly her Dark Artifices series there are 11 books. That's one book a month until her last book comes out in December! So I thought this read along challenge would be a good start to the year. Anyway have a Happy New Year and may you finish all your reading goals this year.

Shannara (httpwwwshannarareads2com) | 45 comments I just joined this group and I’m totally new to these Goodreads groups, but this sounds exactly like me!! I actually bought several of her books on eBay, but have been so intimidated by how many they are. That and I just couldn’t decide where to start, so I’d love to pick up this challenge with you!!! I hope that’s okay! 😊

So as we are reading the Cassandra Clare series I wanted to tell you guys about the way I think we should read these books. If you don't want to read them in the way I'm describing then you don't have to that's why I made all the discussion boards for the books we will be reading.
So I was thinking that the best way to get the "most" out of the Cassandra Clare series was to read the series by publication date rather than each series back-to-back. I think the way the story progresses (at least from what I've heard) will make better sense in this order since as characters get introduced they show up in the other stories. So here is the list of the books in the order I think we should read them:
City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass
Clockwork Angel
City of Fallen Angels
Clockwork Prince
City of Lost Souls
Clockwork Princess
City of Heavenly Fire
Lady Midnight
Lord of Shadows
Queen of Air and Darkness
I'll make a poll to see whether or not you guys like this idea.
