This is the start of a brand new book year. Has anyone got a number for their goodreads goal? Has anyone started yet? Comment down below and tell what your goodreads goal is and what books you're excited about for this year.

Shannara (httpwwwshannarareads2com) | 45 comments My Good Reads goal is 40, but honestly, I’m shooting for 52. Besides finally starting in on some of my Cassandra Clare books, I’m super excited to read the Waterford Saga that my mom got me for Christmas. It looks so good! Other than that, I’m always open to suggestion. How about you?

Shannara (httpwwwshannarareads2com) | 45 comments Ok, I just reread that and my silly iPhone auto corrected the name of the saga!! For shame iPhone! It’s the Waterfire Saga!! By Jennifer Donnelly 😊

Taylor | 25 comments I put my goal as 50 this year and so far I’ve read two and I’m almost done with #3. I just hope I don’t become too busy this year. Im really excited for a lot of the sequels coming out and especially the Sarah J. Maas books. I have like more than 20 I want to read so far. Also I’m Taylor and I’m new.

My goodreads goal is 40 but I’m going to try for 45. I want to finish all the new Rick Riordan books and the Cassandra Clare books. Some of the booktuber books that are coming out look good like Sasha Alsberg’s Zenith.

Is the Waterfire saga about the one with mermaids?

Shannara (httpwwwshannarareads2com) | 45 comments Yes! I’m a Disney nut, so when I see books that are associated with Disney, I tend to gravitate towards them. 😜 Rick Riordan’s books look good but I don’t believe I’ve read any of them yet.

I know I love Disney too. I think I have that book I just haven’t read it yet. But you should really read the Rick Riordan books they are so good. They’re funny and sarcastic and just great storytelling.

Shannara (httpwwwshannarareads2com) | 45 comments I’ll have to add some to my want to read list and get on that! As well as Sarah J. Maas! Her stuff looks good too. It’s going to be an awesome year of reading! I can tell already!!

If you are going to start reading Sarah J Maas then you should definitely start with her A Court of Thorns and Roses series. It’s the best. A Court of Mist and Fury is my favorite.

Taylor | 25 comments I started with Throne of Glass first. And she wrote the first two books early on in her career and throughout the series you can see how her witting has grown. So if you read ACOTAR first you might not really get into TOG as much because her writing style is a lot better in her later books. Idk that’s just my take on it and what I’ve heard others say. But both series are just amazing.

Yeah I loved throne of glass and crown of midnight when it first came out but I’m having a little trouble finishing it. Its just that there is so much going on and the books are so big.

Taylor | 25 comments I’ve heard that too and honestly after Heir of Fire it just gets more amazing. This year the final will be out and I’m not ready for it.

I know that’s what a lot of people are saying. Like empire of storms just scarred a lot of people. That’s another reason I’m a little scared to pick up heir of fire again.

Taylor | 25 comments Yeah it crushed my soul....sorry that probably doesn’t help. It’ll hurt but you’ll be happy about it. 😂😂

Hahaha true. 😭😭😭

message 17: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 25 comments Lol but I say you should try and get through them. Are you excited for A Court Pf Frost and Starlight?

I’m so freaking excited. I hope we get a lot of Feysand and I hope that Azriel and Elain got together. I know her and Lucien are mates but I just like them better. And I hope Nesta and Cassian are together too. Honestly I just need more inner circle fam altogether.

Shannara (httpwwwshannarareads2com) | 45 comments Dang! I feel like I’m super behind with my reading!! Lol I think I’ll have a hard time deciding what to read next. Of course, I’ll be picking up Cassandra Clare first to join in on the reading challenge, but I need to finish Little Fires Everywhere first.

I feel you that’s how I feel about most series or books. Its like I’m really excited to read it but I’ll wait a little while because I’m reading something else or the next book in the series will be out in like a month and then boom 💥 it’s a year later and I still haven’t read it.
