Reading this makes me want to watch the movie again.

Now this is a proper vampire book. It's dark and the vampires are scary.

I read this for the second time a few years ago. I enjoyed it at first, but after a while I got very tired of Louis's angsty moaning. In the movie, doesn't Tom Cruise yell, 'Stop whining Louis!'? That's how I felt.

I do like that the vampires are at least portrayed as monsters and not eternally hot boyfriends, but Anne Rice is not the writer for me.

I enjoyed the movie a lot.
