Clyde Wonder (clydewonder) | 2 comments Hello fellow goodreads folk.

I've just published my first novel, The Game Within. It's best described as sci-fi suspense. If you like books like Ready Player One or Snow Crash, you might like it.

It's available on Kindle Unlimited and I am happy to send a .mobi, .epub, or .pdf to you if you message me directly or reply here with an email address. Thanks in advance for any interest.

From the jacket:

The idea has always been to escape. That desire to be somebody we’re not is strong in humans. We like to pretend. Sure, as we age we get more sophisticated about hiding it, but make no mistake, we never tire of make-believe. The World Within is make-believe elevated to its highest imagining. A different place where you can be a different person.

- Marcus Helkar
December 2026

Brilliant game designer Marcus Helkar created something spectacular. A place so enticing, so consuming, players forgot about real life. It wasn't playing a game. It was living in a different world.

Until the locks were removed. Until the game changed the rules.

Now Marcus must stop the game he created before it becomes too real. And he can only do it from within the game itself. If he can't correct the problem soon enough he'll never be able to get out and neither will anybody else.

Ill D | 4 comments Hello

You book sounds interesting.

I would happily read and then review your book in return for a read and review of my own new book. What do you say?

Clyde Wonder (clydewonder) | 2 comments Dan:

I really appreciate your interest and your offer, however, I'm a little nervous about reciprocal reviews. We can tell ourselves we aren't doing each other a favor, but I think it's pretty hard to be objective in these situations.

I wish you the best of luck with your book and any future writing, but I must respectfully decline your offer.

Thanks.
