Lily (joy1) | 749 comments One of our daughters has suggested this short book as our read for this month.

Personally, I am sorry to be missing our discussion this month. I will post some background information another time.

Lily (joy1) | 749 comments Update from meeting. More another time.

February’s book is This is How It Always Is by Laurie Frankel. Date is February 17, with location to be announced later.

Assuming that a key member will be back in March, that will be our month to read and discuss Imperium: A Novel of Ancient Rome by Robert Harris.

Two other definites (but not yet assigned to any particular months): The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See and Take Me with You by Andrea Gibson.

Lily (joy1) | 749 comments From one of the members, this book was also mentioned as of interest for personal reading:

"I forgot to mention it yesterday, and it’s probably not a genre most in the group would want to consider for group discussion, but last week I finished reading the new #1 bestseller The Woman in the Window (by A.J. Finn). It’s a psychological thriller, getting lots of press with comparisons to Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train. Wanted to share my impressions...

"I’m not sure it lives up to all the hype, but it’s definitely at least a 4-star. I thought it got off to a rather slow start, but soon I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. A couple of major twists that caught me by surprise, plus lots of other twists and turns along the way. If you like mysteries I think you’d enjoy it. And the movie is probably going to be even better."
