I have been working as an independent freelance editor for about 8 years. I am looking for a beta reader for a YA Fantasy. I am on a tight budget, and am looking for someone who would be able to do the reading for roughly $25.
I am currently in same stages of edits (I have already done two rounds of edits, this would be a third round where I am attempting to make a change to one characters thinking process). What I almost need more than anything is someone who is reading the first section as I edit the second, and thats helping to keep me to a deadline as I go.
I am looking for only over all feedback -- no line by line obviously or proofreading.
I don't know if anyone would interested as this might not be the more traditional way of handing beta reader.
I basically would hope to provide roughly 100 pages (about 30K) to start, then as you progress through that, I will prepare the next 100 (30K).
The completed manuscript was roughly 90K, but will likely lose words as I am cutting a few chapters and scenes.
