Hi team! We only have about a week left in March, so I wanted to check in on specific cards we still need.
As far as I know -- Catie is reading for our outstanding 1 Red, I am reading for our outstanding 4 Yellow, and Avni is reading for our last remaining Wild Draw 4 card (0 Green).
So, that leaves us with one other color card remaining: 0 Yellow.
Does anyone have plans to read something that fits for that? I have something from the library that I can read, but I wanted to give someone else the opportunity first if anyone had plans to read something.
Other than those I listed, we only have 15 books left for regular hands for the month! Totally doable, especially as I think some have been read in the last day or two that haven't been listed yet -- so our real number is a few lower than that! (Though Nikk and Catie -- I know you both have been very busy so I am up-to-date on both of yours).
As far as for the mini: The top priorities are As (there are 9 of those left), 2 Us, and a 4 card (something with 4/Four in the title). There are still 27 spots for that, but the mini challenge had a lot more open for March -- so we will just do what we can :) We have finished 7 words already so we are doing awesome!
I am still reading for 1 Red! I can also read Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened, which I believe would count for 0 Yellow, although it might not count as a stand-alone idk. She has another book of essays, but idk if it counts as a book 2. Also, I think I have a few As in the books I've read, I'm really gonna try to post them all asap, but that should take care of a few

But, since it’s got a lot of illustrations in it from what I can tell, I’m just not sure about the word count situation. From a random site I found it looks like it is plenty over the requirement, but it’s not listed on the site they gave us to check, so I’ll have to ask to see what we can use to verify it! I’ll let you know what they say!

Thanks for asking though, I really hope it works because I could easily read that in a day and we need that yellow card!

I’m currently reading “Yellow Brick War” I’m not sure if that will fit in with yellow. But I should be finishing that up this week. I can also look in my stack to see if I have any yellow covers that would work. I’ll let y’all know. Happy reading!!

So it won’t work for that one but it’ll work for other regular card options and quite a few mini challenge options too :)

We still have a few days left in March, so finish out strong! But, our April cards are posted, so I wanted to share our color cards so we can start planning for April! We have 16 total hands for April and 14 color cards, so we will have our work cut out for us!
But, we don't have any Wild Draw 4, so that 14 is all the color cards we will need to read for! Which will be great for planning purposes, but not so great for points — having no WD4s or Wilds in our hands loses out on some of the bigger points. We have not been having the luck on our side when it comes to total points possible with our hands! But, oh well :) That is just the luck of the draw!

And I have gone to UNO shelves for books marked read but not yet posted here as well, so the spreadsheet as of right now should be 100% up to date.Not counting the color cards/WD4 that Catie, Avni, and I are currently reading for, we are only three books away from completing our March hands! That is amazing! The ones currently open are 0, 6, and 9, but if you finish something that doesn't fit those, please post what it does fit. I can always move things around on the spreadsheet to make it work!
For the March mini, we currently have 16 spots left! They are:
