Think this might have been missed for the mini challenge.
28. Set in a country you do not live in - Set in New York City, USA.
Finished
. Shelf and sheet noted. No 41 for the mini challenge.
It wasn't a bad read Karen, quite interesting although parallel stories and jumping of time frames detracted a bit from the overall read. I gave it a 3.5 stars. Happy to lend it to you if you want to read it.

60. with all the letters in WORK can be found in the authors first and last name

Thanks Lisa, I've added your JD Robb book now :)Sounds like Anastasia was ok, but nothing new then. I guess it is a hard topic to write a new story about!
I do have a book with B and Q in the title -
and I will possibly be able to finish it in time. When does the challenge end. About 8 days?

Yes, especially now that the forensics have solved it. It was more the style of the book I had problems with, a lot of toing and froing between the past and the present and reverse story telling made it hard to follow at times.

April Mini Challenge
Out of the currently open tasks, as of Message 803, the book fits:
9. Read a book where there are aliens.
Fits: "The book has extraterrestrial species, situated on the Moon, who play a very important part in the story.
10. Read a book where a character travels to another planet
Fits: The MCs travel to the Moon.
24. Read a book with a black cover (>50%)
Fits: Black (Black) - 52%
45. Read a book set in space
Fits: The book is set in space and includes space travel, to and from the Moon.
51. Read a book with an austronaut
Fits: The MCs and the NASA engineers are astronauts when they aboard the ship to travel to the Moon.
As a backup, the book also fits the following pre-filled tasks:
4. Read a book set in a different world (i.e. not Earth).
5. Read a book where a character tells a lie.
11. Read a book where a character goes for a walk.
17. Read a book which includes characters who are siblings.
28. Read a book set in a country you do not live in.
50. Read a book where someone takes a risk.
Finished
. Letters T and E. Mini challenge - 4,9,10.
Alien Bram travels on the Kindred Mother Ship to the planet of Princess Alanah Kingsdaughter to save her people from a killer asteroid. Yep, space smut but a fun read between the serious stuff.
I found a book on my TBR that fits Title with the Letters SKY - Slayer's Kiss. Should be able to just squeeze it in.
Ok, so I did some shelf trawling today and found some books that some members who don't come to the thread have read, and managed to find some tasks for them to claim for. It means my current book is kind of pushed aside, but that's ok, because it can work for part 2 if we get the first part completed.Main UNO update
We only have 2 cards left to cover! wow!
One is a coloured card which Teri is currently reading - so we are totally solid with getting those 16 hands done. Great job everyone!!
Mini challenge update
So, some of these ones will take deliberate choosing of books and we have 8 days and one hour to read.
17. which includes characters who are siblings
46. with the sky and stars on the cover (or set in space as Lisa's book can cover either)
52. with a space craft on the cover
60. with all the letters in WORK can be found in the authors first and last name
62. with baked goods on the cover
if we can get through them, we then have the bonus 4 books where we combine any 2 tasks to together and read a book for it (we just can't duplicate tasks for those 4 books. So, for example, if I cover #30 and #69 for a bonus task, we can't use those 2 again for the remaining 3 bonus books)
Dipping into my space smut, I can read
which covers either of these. -45. set in space ( On a spaceship with cyborgs)
46. with the sky and stars on the cover
I can do the 'Chance' in the title book. Great job everyone so far in getting the team so close to the finish. We are almost there, and we are veeeeeeeeery close to finishing on top. Eeks! :D
Thanks everyone that leaves us with 6 unclaimed. I have updated the message aboveYes Apoorv, we are soooooo close :o
hey, so I'm reading Storm Runners with my youngest son, it has a hurricane...this count for 64? it has 143 pages
Finished
today. It fits 0, 2, 6, 9 and Skip. Unfortunately, nothing from the pending mini challenge reads fits in this book.

Finished The Little LibraryCards:

Mini Challenge:
40-Book on the cover
Hi, Teri! I kinda guess the twist but I liked it! Let me know what you think once you’ve read it. :)
Guess what team?We have finished our regular UNO cards!
Just Teri's Wild & Free left for the duplicate 3 Blue (Teri, I can manoeuvre things around if you would rather read something else)
So no need to record the regular UNO details for your books, but we do still have some tasks that are open for the mini challenge, so if you can find books to fit these to read over the next five days, then we may actually be able to win this thing :o
17. which includes characters who are siblings
46. with the sky and stars on the cover (or set in space as Lisa's book can cover either)
60. with all the letters in WORK can be found in the authors first and last name
62. with baked goods on the cover
edit--- I have moved a book as I think 17 is easier to find than 33 (yellow and white cover)
if we can get through them, we then have the bonus 4 books where we combine any 2 tasks to together and read a book for it (we just can't duplicate tasks for those 4 books. So, for example, if I cover #30 and #69 for a bonus task, we can't use those 2 again for the remaining 3 bonus books)
Saraaa wrote: "Finished

fabbo, thanks Lisa. That leaves us with just 4 :o
I've got
ready on audio, but I need to finish by book for #35 first. If #62 is still open when I finish it, I'll take that one, otherwise I will go searching for whatever is left
I swear I will finish Wild and Free--lol--it's just...not good....but I will do it!Let me look at the bonus stuff and remaining tasks. I'm totally free this weekend except for soccer Saturday morning, so I should be able to get through a few books, I hope

Teri wrote: "
would this work for the bonus as far as 30--tall object on cover because-mansion and 31-mostly sky?"
Yes, I agree
I can do this for 46. sky and stars -
. And that's all I can manage in the time frame left. Got quite a few books to finish but luckily got a fairly free weekend.
Also, I am switching out Bone Rider for Caught in Your Wake which also has aliens but its 4th in a series I have already been reading so I would rather do that one
