If you use audiobooks, I recommend them for that series. He does a great job and narrates this series, plus the prequel series

I'm making my way through the prequel series at the moment. I've really fallen in love with Michael J Sullivan's books!

It is only the front cover that counts and it needs to be >50% red

I couldn’t get interested but I think I’ve actually read one further into the series that I liked better so idk, my mood? Or maybe the first just wasn’t as strong for me. :(

@Karen - To be honest, it was quite a fun read. I had a few issues here and there - mainly the fact that a lot of plot elements are revealed through dialogues which gets a little confusing. But, this is just the first book and I know that it gets better. I loved Royce and Hadrian. I really want to know more about Royce's backstory.

Glad you enjoyed it! I read them as the 3 books (so started with Theft of Swords) so that may have helped as you get a lot more of the story in one hit. Yes, their relationship is great and Royce is especially interesting ;)
