Teri | 401 comments Hi, I hope y'all don't think I'm crazy, I had a hard time wrapping my head around this mini challenge for some reason, I know it's not that difficult, but there you have it.

So I am currently reading Jaxson (River Pack Wolves, #1) by Alisa Woods , could this be used for:

Team Hydrus The Clan of the Cave Bear (Earth's Children, #1) by Jean M. Auel since they both have animals on the cover?

or am I still looking at this the wrong way?

message 452: by Sassafrass (new)

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 497 comments Yes. that's right.

they could also be linked because they are both first books in a series.

Teri | 401 comments I read Combust (Everyday Heroes #2) by K. Bromberg ...would TEam Tucana Perfume The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind work since they are both naked torsos?

I believe Karen's been popping in and handling the updates elsewhere based on what we post in this thread (but anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

LaurLa | 1005 comments Hi! LaurLa here from Team Pluto!

I finished Born in Death based off the recommendation here of Naked in Death. I've been slowly reading this series and am always glad when I get the chance to use one for a challenge! Even at book 23, I still really enjoy the series. Roarke and Eve never get old in my opinion and I love digging deeper into their psyches as the series goes along. The mysteries are great too! Thanks for the rec so I could use this book in a challenge!

Karen ⊰✿ | 3767 comments 5 minutes until March starts :)

Great work everyone getting all of our cards and mini challenge completed!

Looks like there are two teams tied for first place, and we've finished in fourth which is awesome! For those who have played before, luck is such a big part of winning this (as with the real card game) as it can come down to the hands that are dealt! But I do love knowing that we accomplished everything given us for the month :)

Karen ⊰✿ | 3767 comments In case anyone is wondering why I'm allocating to our spreadsheet in a seemingly crazy way...

I'm covering all the 7s first as we have so many and there isn't always a V in a book. Followed by Reverse and 8s
Once they are covered, I'll start filling the hands in ascending order :)

Also, Sassafrass--your line was above mine on the spreadsheet, I don't know if you are reading Death Comes to Pemberley or not, but I have read that if you want to add it to the Reverse thing.

I actually ended up reading it twice as I re-read it before starting book 2 ;)
It was totally a cross between "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and "Oliver Twist" for me.
The second book I didn't enjoy as much. I think maybe doing them back to back made the whole long con a bit much.
I'll get to book 3 some day!!

I'd recommend Theft of Swords to you as it is quite different, but still has two strong male friends who are criminals and is a lot of fun
