According to my stats I've read ~779 pages already! I might have to adjust for extra pages and pages read last year in books finished this year though.
Goodmorning!I'm just using what Goodreads tells me I've read. I don't look for the exact edition, so sometimes I read more pages and sometimes less, but I think that evens out over a year. The same with books I started last year and finish this year (I count them for this year) and the books I start this year and finish next (I do not count). Also, books I DNF I don't count.
Anyhow, taking all that into account, I had a quick start, 1504 pages so far (told you I like fat books):
The Woman in White - Wilkie Collins
Schone slaapsters - Stephen and Owen King
Happy New Year. I'm at 885 pages and just about ready to complete a 400 page thriller possibly tonight.I'm competing in PopSugar and a 50 State challenge this year and I completely appreciate this challenge as I'm seeing children's books and what I call comic books bandied as suggestions.
Completed:
Flaggermusmannen - a Nordic Noir for a challenge. Did not care for it. The protagonist spent a good third of the book on a drunken bender. Searching for clues might have been a better and more productive use of his time.
Sweet Tea Tuesdays - I wanted some levity with my Nordic Noir and, oops, this wasn't it! Southern drama about friends. As a person who believes that life is worth living, I had big issues with this one.
Gone Missing Suspenseful thriller about missing Amish teens and part of the Chief Katie Burkholder series. These can be a bit graphic and the language is rough, but I'm a fan!
Currently reading:
16th Seduction The 16th entry into James Patterson's Women's Mystery Club. I am the first to admit that this is not literature, but I like to get some fluff in. Will finish this one today, most likely.
Town in a Pumpkin Bash - More fluff. A cozy mystery for my Maine read in one challenge and a book set at Halloween for the other.
Kingdom of Happiness: Living the Beatitudes in Everyday Life - a more meaty read, though it's short. It never hurts to get in some personal growth!
I've finished six books so far, at 1678 pages. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
Around the World in Eighty Days
A Room with a View
The Jungle Book
The Casual Vacancy
We Are Never Meeting In Real Life
If I keep up this pace, I'll hit 60,000 pages, rather than the 30,000 I'm aiming for, which would be great! But unlikely.
Aiming for Eastern Redbud. As of today, I'm 2092/42,000 per the stats on Goodreads. That isn't including the remaining pages of a book that I had read most of last year. 8 books, including graphic novels.
I've read some interesting books so far. My goal was 30k pages (Norfolk Island Pine); at this pace, I'll have no trouble reaching it.Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History (292 pages)
The Art Forger (372 pages)
Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood (304 pages)
America's First Daughter (580 pages)
Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI (359 pages)
Total 1,937 pages
2,985 pages thus far. I've completed 10 books, so far. These since my last update:
Master Thieves: The Boston Gangsters Who Pulled Off the World’s Greatest Art Heist
16th Seduction
Scarlet
Town in a Pumpkin Bash
The Diamond as Big as the Ritz, and Other Stories
The Legend of Annie Murphy
and Charles Kuralt's America
I have two in process now:
Kingdom of Happiness: Living the Beatitudes in Everyday
Life
and Crash & Burn
I think I'll be well in hand for my Fiddleleaf Fig or Norfolk Island Pine!
Goal = Read 42,000 pages; Current page count (excludes currently-reading): 4270I'm at 10% of my goal before the end of January, so I'd say this is a pretty good sign :)
Oh, I've read 21 books... I might list them all at the end of each month? Not sure. It's gonna be a lot lolz
Goal ~ 30k (Norfolk Island Pine)Current Total ~ 3,319
Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander #2) (743 pages)
We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy (367 pages)
Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose (272 pages)
Goal ~ 30k (Norfolk Island Pine)Current Total ~ 4,182
Two new books I enjoyed immensely:
Lincoln in the Bardo (343 pages)
The Alice Network (520 pages)

Just finished Ink and Bone and it was a fantastic read!!

January Pages = 3,143
February Pages = 3,189
March Pages = 1,495
Total Pages Read = 7,827

Before We Were Yours (342 pages)
Small Great Things (480 pages)
Call Me Zelda (338 pages)
The Olive Picker (271 pages)
Waking Up in Winter (240 pages)
My goal is Dwarf Peach - 36,000 pages and I am currently around 6,800. If I maintain that, I am on track to reach 41,000! If I really push myself, I can maybe reach Eastern Redbud, a 10,000 page jump from what I read last year.
Noteworthy books I've read so far:
Throne of Glass (I read books 1 & 2 in 2017 actually but I love this series! This series is definitely one in which each book is better than the last.)
The Name of the Wind (Did I really put off reading this for so long because book 1 is 700 pages and book 2 is 1000?)
The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane (I wish I liked tea but now I know so much about it!)
Still Foolin' 'Em: Where I've Been, Where I'm Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys (Give me more When Harry Met Sally facts!)
Everyone seems to be doing great! Keep up the good work!
Happy Reading

My 8892 pages so far takes me Bonsai. I am on track to meet my goal of Dwarf Peach (and perhaps get to Eastern Redbud). Some of the books I have enjoyed along the way:
Word by Word by Kory Stamper
In the Midst of Winter by Isabel Allende
The Second Mrs. Hockaday by Susan Rivers
Desperation Road by Michael Ferris Smith
Serena by Ron Rash
Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
1/4 of the way through the year and I am at 13,630 pages. My goal is Sassafras - 54,000 pages. Need to step it up just a bit to make my goal!
My progress update:
I am currently at 11,391 pages and my reading goal is Dwarf Peach, 36,000 pages. So I am almost 1/3 of the way finished! I am currently reading 6 books which should help me get ahead a little.
Unfortunately, I've been in a little bit of a rut the last couple of weeks. I've struggled through several books and just put a handful of others down, maybe never to be picked up again. However, I feel my rut coming to an end! Several new books I am very excited for are coming out over the next couple of months. Most notably, War Storm and A Court of Frost and Starlight in May, A Reaper at the Gates in June, and in October Kingdom of Ash. My favorite book of the year so far is A Court of Mist and Fury, the second book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series.

I have not been reading very much at all. Working on other projects, some travel and just not being in the mood have all contributed to my low number. That being said, I am just past Dwarf Willow, having read 6,245 pages so far.
I think I am making good progress. I just reached 18,217 pages on Saturday, so I am officially a money tree now.
Since I finished my latest book today, I'm up to 21,562 pages. That's halfway to my first goal of Eastern Redbud at 42,000 pages!!! I lost my groove for a while and now getting back into it!!

I'm at 21,546. Right now I'm slowing down my pace a little, because I'm taking on a few more challenging reads. I'm also just 499 pages shy from beating my all time record on goodreads (amazing how much difference it makes when you don't have to read for class or research papers).

That's great!! And I agree, I've had so much more time since I finished undergrad last year.

Half the year over and I have read 22,536 pages over 62 books. May not make my goal of 54,000 pages but I am not giving up yet!
I am at 31,087 pages thanks to a number of very long books. So I should easily surpass my goal to reach Dwarf Peach (36,000) Eastern Redbud may also be in reach since the two books I am currently reading will add 1100 pages. Some recent great reads:
Bluebird, Bluebird
A Gentleman in Moscow
The Fighter

Hi Guys!
I am at just over 30,000 pages now so I'm only 6,000 pages away from my goal of Dwarf Peach! I am going to push for Eastern Redbud and maybe even Apple Tree!
Here's some of my favorites since my last update:
The Serpent King
Before She Ignites
The Orphan's Tale
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe
An American Marriage
The Wise Man's Fear
I've read some awesome books this year but my absolute favorites have been
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society! I loved both of these so much, I already want to re-read them.

I am at 35,879 pages! Almost to Drawrf Peach and my meet my goal of Eastern Redbud. I have 55,000+ pages in books I want to read this year so maybe I'll even get up to Sassafras or Oak!

I have surpassed my goal of Dwarf Peach! I'm currently at 41,358 so I can definitely get to Eastern Redbud but maybe I will even get to Apple Tree! Who knows, I might even get close to Sassafras!
This has been great so far! I'm at 50,400 [ages -- an apple tree! I was hoping for the Norfolk Island Pine, but surpassed that.
I'm 81 pages shy of reaching Dwarf Peach. I'm fairly certain that I can manage to read these missing pages today. As of now, I'm 14.000 pages ahead of my former all time best. As it happens, I'm also 14 books ahead of my all time best book count, so I read the equivalent of 14 extra 1.000 pages books. I'll take this as a sign of success.
I don't think I'll be reaching the next tier by the end of today, so I can safely say that my 2018 reading grew me an Eastern Redbud (42,000 pages) - I ended up reading just over 44,000 pages. Given that I was challenging myself to get to a Norfolk Island Pine (30,000 pages), I am seriously chuffed. I hope everyone had a great reading year - bring on 2019!
