Rhain - hi! I've sent out roughly ten review copies and had two reviews appear from those (one on amazon and a different one on goodreads.) There is a group that does reading rounds that is much more successful: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/list_...
I'm glad you use the word circle; Amazon now forbids reciprocal reviews. The way the reading rounds work is that everyone reads four books. With ten people, this means reciprocal reviews are avoided. Right now they have a circle open for work "in this world" that has four spots in it.
I'm in the same pain as everyone else. I'm glad to see us all fighting to make our work get read. Short of paying for reviews, I'm not sure what else to do to get more. I've followed all the advice and have 23 (off a November release.)
...the group I recommended is the group that Rhain posted about. Pretend I'm standing behind her, seconding everything she says.
Haha, yes - it's a good group. The only reason I've gone to FB was because the same faces keep popping up. It would be good to get some new blood.
