I don't know how it's with you, but the old ones from the 80's sadly wont work anymore with our telephone system, if you want one you have to buy a new one that looks old. (And is expensive as hell) but don't ask me why. Something technical I don't know in German either

Growing up in cities I knew what the police box was/is but I think they didn't have them in suburbs. I don't know.
I finished #129 - famous person on the cover with
. Very interesting and engaging and I read the entire US Constitution in the Appendix!I can take #134 if butterfly wings qualify as wings with
by Mira T. Lee.New challenge: A cover with some kind of award designation on it; Newbery, Man Booker, Pulitzer, National, PEN, etc.
Rosa wrote: "I can take #137 open book with By Book or By Crook by Eva Gates

New item: waterfall"
Please Jan can I exchange my books? I could not finish By Book or By Crook (could not stand the writing and the characters AT ALL) and I don't have any other 'open book' coming up but I could do the 'waterfall' task, can you put the book task back on an give me the waterfall instead?
The Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost
I promise I'll finish that one, I've already started it and it's ok

Thank you! I used to finish almost everything I've started, but lately... I don't know. May it's because I have in my every-day life such a lot annoying people I CAN'T easily go away from that I've got to be such a... you can't really say 'book snob' because I often read horrible books that I can enjoy but if I don't like the characters I simply can't read the book, and sadly I do like cozy mystery from the storylines, but often they seem to have the (for me) worst characters
There is nothing wrong with not finishing a book Rosa. I've decided that life is too short to read something I'm struggling with. So no worries at all!!!
I used to try to force myself toward the end but I'm now to the place where I'm realistic about my TBR and my mortality. Why suffer through a book I don't connect to when there are so many great books I long to read?
I can take 122 Dinosaur with: Science(ish): The Peculiar Science Behind the Movies by Rick Edwards
Next item: pizza (because it's always a good thing to see a pizza)

At this point I would rather clean my bathtub with a toothbrush than even see that book on the nightstand but I AM determined! :)
Finally finished my book for #133, a hearse-like vehicle:Éclair and Present Danger (Emergency Dessert Squad #1), by Laura Bradford, finished 8/30 ★★★.5
I can't match any of the current items on the list, but I'll keep an eye on the thread.

I would burn it, and roast Smores with evil laughter above its flames ! ;)

I can take #107 something from the ancient world with
by Loretta Jacksonnew item: stringed musical instrument
Finished #122 dinosaur Science(ish): The Peculiar Science Behind the Movies sadly the execution was not as good as the idea
It's ok. I've read a better book on that subject already (Blockbuster Science: The Real Science in Science Fiction), and right before this book now I've read a non-fiction book that I loved (The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History) so my expectations were pretty high, lol
Next I can take #125? Balloons, with Death Overdue by Allison Brook
Next: suitcase

Is this good enough for "Award Designation" - the letters are in white "National Book Award winner"?Reservation Blues
Hmmm...it would work I guess. But why don't you use it for stringed instrument? That might be harder to find.

Yes - you can do one you suggested. I'll get you down for it. Do you have a new object I can add to the list?

I'll try #137 'open book' again with Surfeit of Lampreys by Ngaio Marsh
With a book by her it's a rather secure thing that I'm going to like it!
Next item: I want you to spy the perfect reading spot

I finished #134, wings,
, Everything Here Is Beautiful by Mira T. Lee. Beautiful debut novel about mental illness by a talented writer.I've hit a wall with my reading of late - War and Peace has a lot to do with that! - so I have nothing right now, but I'll check in again soon.
