Katie (cupikate) Here we will discuss what we are currently reading in the month of January and begin making recommendations for February's group read-a-long which will be featured in a poll on January 7, 2018.

Katie (cupikate) Currently I'm reading the following:

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - J.K. Rowling
Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy
Sapphire Blue - Kerstin Gier
Allegiant - Veronica Roth

Karthikeyan Murugesan (MKing2351) | 5 comments I'm currently reading:

1. Certificate Physical and Human Geography - Goh Cheng Leong.

A truly universal book on the basics of geography.

2. India's Struggle for Independence - Bipan Chandra.

The title explains it all. The book presents a rather biased and sugarcoated view of the struggle.

3. Indian Polity - M. Laxmikanth.

A follow up to the previous book. Perfectly explains the birth of a new nation.

I won't be able to complete all three books in one go as I plan on reading 10 chapters of each book every month. Will probably finish all three books by April.

That is a very nice reading list Karthikeyan. I am currently reading World Regional Geography: Global Patterns, Local Lives

That is some serious dedication! Where did your geographical interest originate? Do you travel?

I am reading:

1. Sailor Moon Mangas. hahaha. I read volumes 1-4.

2. My Life in Parts by Bryan Cranston.

3. Mark of Destiny by Azrael James

4. Pawn of Frankincense by Dorothy Dunnett

3 and 4 I should be reading more, but this slump is killing me.

Katie (cupikate) I really want to read Sailor Moon mangas. Actually I have to branch out to mangas, graphic art, and etc. Maybe we can suggest a short one for this month int he Buddy Reads?

We can, but it really depends what you like. I loved the Dragon Ball manga, but Sailor Moon isn't as fun as I hoped. It doesn't help that I am in love with DB. If you liked an Anime most likely it is a manga or sometimes a book. Howl's Moving Castle is a great middle school book and anime movie.

I don't have any particular inclination towards travel, I just like to learn new things. I was reading about Python coding before I started reading about Geography :)

Honestly was never a fan of anime, but I'm willing to branch out.

I wasn't either, but now it is enjoyable. With anything you just have to be in the right mood.

Giki | 10 comments I am currently reading no books!!! I think christmas and new year just filled up my brain. I had to sort out my vat and do an online training course for work too - but it is all almost finished now. I have 'Checkmate' by dorothy dunnet downloaded on audiobook ready to start soon.

Clean slate, I like it! The Holidays were a bit hectic this year wasn't it? Anywho! We can start with something small for January just to ease back in to things. :)
