my goal is to finish some series:1. Ada's House novel series,
2. A Shaker series,
3. Daughters of Lancaster County,
4. Pleasant Valley series,
and 5. the Kaufmann amish bakery series
and strive toward 5 amish mysteries, plus maybe 3 christmas novels
goal of 20 amish books as I also do christian fiction group
How's everyone doing on their goal? We're a quarter of the way through the year now. Are you a quarter of the way to your goal?
last year I read more amish novels; this years I have missed mystery; so have read more of that; and will get back to amish mystery/fiction. My goals above have also changed. My series read are these, mystery instead:A Hope Beach Series, kindle, 1. Tidewater Inn 2. Rosemary Cottage 3. Seagrass Pier
Place of Refuge Series in plain sight amy wallace (mennonite), and nowhere to run, amy wallace, very good
Shaker Series - The Outsider this series I didn't care for, to hard to stay with it; not enough suspense; so discontinued that series. I've read 15 books this far this year

Keep going Carolyn!
I am not progressing enough to getting my series finished, unfortunately. I am on book two of new hope amish series;
and have finished book 1
one book to go in that series. I am interested in reading Salome saunders amish mystery series; but, look like they are 'stand alone' books. Has anyone read this series or enjoyed Ruth Bawell books? I can't find her at the library
my goals met this year:2018 Amish fiction read

Single books were total -5 I also belong to christian fiction-pioneer adventures, cozy mystery for more variety this year
I will meet my twenty books this year for amish fiction; this year but, total goal is for 40 books for the year.
Linda Castillo has a nice Amish Mystery series (Kate Burkholder 1-10 with 11 comes out in July 2019).Karen Harper has three Amish Mystery series. Maplecreek series, Homevalley series, and Cold Creek series.
Kathleen Fuller has (Mysteries of Middlefield). You can read the series alone or there is Hearts of Middlefield (this series first), Middlefield Family (second), Middlefield Amish (A Faith of Her Own) before which will give a better background of who the other people are.
Jessica, I also find Linda Castillo a great amish mystery writer. There is quite a difference between amish mystery and amish romance. I remember someone gave me grief on that suggestions. so, glad to see someone else prefers amish mystery and I will use your suggestions for Karen Harper/Kathleen Fuller also, thanks
I wanted to read a Linda Castillo book because I love Amish Mysteries but some of the reviews said the murders were too detailed. What do you think? The books really look interesting.
as with all books, especially mysteries; there is more details; but, if you do read a lot of murder mystery; it shouldn't bother you; as all books are fiction anyway. If you want to try a book of hers; try the library then you haven't invested any money.

I borrowed it on my Kindle so didn't even have to make a trip. Hope to get it read this weekend. Thanks.
well, I think it will keep you interested I found it interesting to see the last years overall reading challenge; and my book of Linda Castillo had 14, 436 readers. see your 2018 readingwww.goodreads.com/user/year_in_books/...
I read it pretty much in one day. Read until 2AM and then woke up at 6 and finished it. Very good book.
