☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 6188 comments I tried to move these quotes to the default (the romance GR author) but I failed ...
Tried on different days but the quotes just won't move away.
If you go on "edit" it actually looks like they were assigned to the default but even entering the default new doesn't help...

Any ideas? Known bugs? Me doing something wrong? Or just a mystery of the system?
Or is that something that might be related to the maintenance?

Arenda | 20804 comments I seem to remember something like this happening before, but the only I could find was this comment:

I tried to edit one of the quotes. Re-adding the 1-space profile didn't work.
What did work: adding one extra space to the author name and save.
Edit again, remove one space and the right author will be attached. (Or delete the author, save, edit again and add the right author; didn't test this one but I suspect this will work.)

Be careful to remember if there is a book attached to the quote, and which book, otherwise that info will be lost. (As has to be done with all edits on quotes, see the same thread in Feedback:

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 6188 comments aaah, I think I got why the chaos started...
looked into one of the quote duplicates I merged into to check if it was entered by the same person and that (previously already on GR author) quote was still listed as assigned to 2 spaces - whereas the current real 2 space ones are assigned to 1 space.

So someone had changed the spacing for the author and there must have happened something really weird with the quote section then.

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 6188 comments Thanks for testing the workaround Arenda!
Thought of it yesterday for a brief moment but hadn't time to test it.
I'll link that thread in the Feedback Group in case the developers find anything useful in it - and will leave some of the non-like quotes on the profile in case they want to test themselves
