The fictional ones are always better anyway. Tell her not to worry bout it. And I know how it feels when all the guys in your school are ass holes. I finally asked my bf (the only non asshole that i knew) out this year.

Attitude/Personality: sweet, quiet (usually), shy, careful/wary, easily embarrassed, easy to scare, nervous, forgetful, basically your average little kid, except a lot stronger and a lot smarter. :P
Background: She doesn't know anything about her past. She has no family left and she is far too smart for her age, though she occasionally forgets the things she needs to know and remembers useless facts. Since birth she's been tested on by various companies and even amateurs, damaging her ability to grow and remember.
Other: she can control emotions and is overly empathetic. (she feels everything other people feel, more so if she touches them)
