Georgiana and her new sister, Elizabeth come upon the quilt while exploring the contents of an old trunk which was left by Lady Anne for her daughter’s sixteenth birthday. From there, a story of discovery allows Georgiana to connect with her mother in a way that is very endearing.” Approximately 30 pages and not only do we read about Georgiana discovery of the Quilt but we also have a story about her mother’s beginning to work on the quilt left her by her own mother.
339.) A Gift from Rosings Park 4 stars - This book was offered free on Maria Grace's blog. "Lady Catherine demands the Darcys’ presence at Rosings for Christmas." Despite Elizabeth's increasing condition she decides that she is willing to travel with Darcy. The "gift" shows some insight upon Lady Catherine's part. It was an interesting read.
340.) A Holiday in Bath by Alyssa Jefferson. 41 pages, a gift to readers. This story is about Darcy and Elizabeth deciding to spend some time in Bath as Georgiana has been invited to also visit there with a friend. Elizabeth is determined to find a unique gift for Darcy...and in the end she does gift him with such. 4 stars
341.) A Preference for Ginger by Maria Grace 75 pages 3.5 stars This short story is a free gift when you sign up to follow her blog. It concerns Harriet Smith. First we meet her as a small child being enrolled in Mrs. Goddard's School. Then we read as she interacts with other students and even as she tends to smaller ones. She then meets two new day students, Rachel and Margaret Martin. Although there is another student who likes to rub it in that Harriet is the daughter of "who knows who?" Harriet's kindness is noted and she is invited to dinner at the Martin farm where she meets their brother, Robert. This was an interesting read with very realistic interaction between young people of varying backgrounds and social standing.

I did not realize that this story was not yet finished. The author did post a chapter this month and the author stated she has the story finished. I wanted to post it here as I spent the last three days reading it. Excellent story...lots of angst but also definitely MA and there are some violent episodes as Ft. St. John is attacked in India where Jamie Bennet is stationed. Massacre of British troops and civilians occurs.
