Bosch decides to mentor and train Soto and behaves like a partner moreso than any we’ve seen to date. Why do you think he behaved differently with her? Did it make a difference in the cases?

[Robin]

I wonder if Harry sees something in Soto that he didn't see in his other partners. I thought his mentoring her and treating her like a real partner helped with both cases. It certainly helped me to like the story better. I get frustrated with Harry cutting his partners out of the investigation when it suits him.

Harry liked her work ethic and drive, even said none of his previous partners behaved as diligently as she. They really were well suited, especially since Harry believed he could trust her after awhile. He liked working with her...she showed up ready so he behaved like a partner. It really was a refreshing change.
