Wow, you were quick to post here!

The catalog of Challenges By Subject is finished. I'll be back later to post the catalog by name.

Have a good 2018!

Elizabeth S (esorenson) | 101 comments Once again, probably too ambitious. But what are goals if not to stretch ourselves?

And the Award Goes To: 22 --- FINISHED: June 28
Double Dog Dare: 7 --- FINISHED: November 22
eDingus: 10 --- FINISHED: April 4
Help Yourself: 5 --- FINISHED: November 9
Left Over Stew: 55 update
Reality Check: 6 -- FINISHED October 8
Shelving Unit: 25 -- FINISHED December 19

Trying the eDingus for the first time. I almost always read physical books, but there are some that I can't find anywhere but in an ebook form. This will be interesting.

Wanted to be able to start on a challenge on New Years Day. Maybe if I start off with a leap I will complete all 7 challenges this year!

Purple Iris (purpleiris) | 58 comments I'm going to focus on just one this year: Rosetta Stone (35).

I wanted to do 33 last year and was short by 2. Hopefully I can pull it off this time around.

Good luck, everyone! And thanks for setting this up again, Almeta.

Always my downfall!☻

message 14: by Roz (last edited Jan 04, 2018 01:25PM) (new)

Roz | 34 comments I feel like I'm cheating if I set a goal for a category I know I'm going to "win". I know I'm going to read serial books, and I know I'll borrow most of the books I read from the library. But it is nice to be able to pat myself on the back at the end of the year and say "I did it" at least once or twice. So I'll keep Serial Eyes but work on the ones I have trouble with:

Hear Ye, Hear Ye 15
eDingus 10
Home Alone 5
Leftover Stew 10
Serial Eyes 20

I feel this way about Hear Ye! Hear Ye!. It used to be that I rarely listened to a book Now I try to find everything on CD, Hoopla or MCLS, even YouTube, before I resort to a print book. I get so many more completed when I listen while doing other things...not having to devote my time exclusively to sitting down to read.

Never-the-less I am still shelving them as Hear Ye...so I may as well keep track of them in a challenge widget.

I stopped entering the Where's Your Card? challenge because I stopped buying books and use the library almost all the time. Home Alone...Now that's a problem.

message 16: by Roz (new)

Roz | 34 comments Exactly! Home Alone and eDingus are my most difficult to accomplish. I own the books in some form (print or kindle) so they just lay there gathering dust...no hurry to get to them. I reall need to work on them.

I think that is part of the reason for me too, plus all the new books that sound SO interesting. Then I put a bunch of them on hold at the library and it seems as if they all come in at the same time. The other day I had 6 that had arrived from other library branches.
