Another side note......What are we going to do with Kat's character? Should I control it till the end if the quest and then drop it? Have it be replaced by another PC?

yeah you should do that with Kat's character.
So I think landmaster is trying to have the missiles be similar to an AOE spell with a certain DC.
Interesting thought Q, so how do you think we should make something like a Tank? How would you change our existing stats? or would you just start over?

Missiles: I don’t want people to get blowed up, and if you get hit with one, there’s like a 99% chance that you will die because, well, it’s a missile. Because of that, I want the missiles to have a very slight chance of hitting, because I feel like the possibility should still be there. My thought, with my limited experience, was to create a DC for the missiles that wouldn’t change against different characters. So I said that when I launch a missle at you, I hit you if I get a 18-20, I hit near you and you are damaged by the explosion if I get a 10-17, and I hit in the general vicinity and you are damaged by the shockwave if I get a 3-9. A 1 or 2 is a complete miss and you could care less. This way, some poor fellow with only 11 AC doesn’t get blown to smithereens in the first 5 minutes. In my mind, it doesn’t matter how fast you are or what you are wearing, if you get hit by a missile, you’re a goner. The roll is on the attackers end, to see if he hits you. If he does, your chances of survival are minimal. There not really anything you can do about it, because that’s how missles work. You mentioned that i was probably creating things wrong, and I don’t really doubt it. All of my D&D exp comes from these pages, I just kinda know the rules and think it sounds fun. Feel completely free to just scrap what I have and begin fresh.
As for Kat’s Character, I think we should replace it with a PC. Or find someone to control it. I’d be down for either.

Hi all! This looks to be the FAQs topic? I was just wondering if we could have the discussions expanded in the group home? I just realized there's a few more categories hiding, i.e. classes, etc.

if you look for a button called "more discussions", you can see all the discussions in a folder.
Yep that's how I found them. You can expand them though in the settings, but just a suggestion is all :)

oh sorry, The guy who made this is inactive, so we sort of inherited this without really knowing how to work everything.
Austin wrote: "oh sorry, The guy who made this is inactive, so we sort of inherited this without really knowing how to work everything."Ah! So are you still able to assign folders and mods or is that limited to the group owner?

Nice, I see the discussions now! One other thing and this is just a suggestion (don't mean to come in here and tell you how to run things), but do you have opposition to tagging discussions or topics? Such as in example: [Game] So and So's Campaign, or: [Class] The Swashbuckler. Just thinking out loud :)
Austin must have figured it out, because I didn’t do anything, haha. And if you’re asking if we’ll accept new topics and discussions, I am %100 open to that. Is that your question?
Well that was my next question. I have a habit of tagging everything in my own groups, personally just think it makes things easier to identify on the quick :) but no worries either way.
Oh, I’ve gotcha now. I think they’re already separated into groups, but I’m fine with tagging, makes no difference to me.
If it's ok, I would add my modules, sets, and rule books, guides and accessories to the book shelves?

Austin, do you plan to continue your story or should I archive it and all related threads? Would you be open to doing one of your other scenarios? The Space Fantasy sounds super dope right now.

Yeah you can archive it. I could start up the space fantasy I was thinking of. I think I found a better way to use guns. I’ll set it all up after work. I’ll allow all races and all classes. So I guess just think on it.
I'll be honest, Austin, I've read through your history, but there's a lot of stuff there and I don't have a lot of time to write a biography for y character. It'll take me ages. Is there any way you could come up with something for me? I know I want Hexbolt to have started in a machine shop where he would eventually be promoted to working as an engineer for ship repairs. At some point he becomes a rebel scavenger and a pirate before joining our crew. I don't think he has a lot of combat experience.

Yeah sorry the idea behind that is based on your race I could give you a few possible events that might shape their life but you can choose to have none of that affect them. But since your guy is not human I don’t think much or any of that will affect him.

I’ve thought about hopping in on this, but I’m already pretty busy, so I’m hesitant to get into another group. I haven’t read the lore yet, but I take it this is very futuristic? Could I be a warforged, aka a robot/android/automaton? I’m leaning towards artificer, but might end up doing something else.

yeah that sounds good you can do all of that Landmaster. Who made your battle forged? Humans or aliens?

Ooh, I am noticing that Hexbolt is an artificer though, so i'll definitely not play the same class unless you guys specifically want me to. I'll actually let you pick Batman, if you are building them. What class do you feel compliments an artificer the best?
((also, no offense Austin, your lore looks amazing, but I'm not familiar with Halo at all and so lots of the lore/timeline is probably just going to confuse me further. So if my character could specifically not have a chip regarding history, that'd be great. His awareness starts when he was made, and he's clueless about the history and the world at large. That compensates for my complete and total lack of knowledge in the area, and makes sense, to me at least.))

Personally, I like to think about this from a personality angle. It comes down to what kind of social dynsmic you think would be most fun. Honestly, I largely based Hexbolt on TMNT's Donatello, so you could also pick yout favorite turtle. ((I'd love to run a Teenage Mutant Ninja Tortles campaign at some point, by the way.))Wizard (or College of Lore Bard) would be cool if we were science bros. This is the April O'Neill option and probably what I'd suggest. Your warforged could be in charge of keeping records, downloading schematics, and compiling instruction manuals for Hexbolt, as well as helping with experiments and building. Furthermore, you could have some healing capabilities, and/or provide things like light, and/or cleaning up behind him. The Linguist or Keen Mind feat would be cool here. (The latter is what I'd give Donatello if I were to try to make a more exact build for him.)
Leonardo would be a fighter serving as protector or bodyguard for Hexbolt. He'd always be striving to improve himself to fulfill his prime objective. He'd have the protection feat for sure. Frankly, given my
Raphael and Casey would probably be in similar roles, but as barbarians. They'd be hot-headed berserkers, but a little different mechanically, giving you two distinct builds and personalities. Raphael is aggressive and probably doesn't know his own strength yet. Or, you could be Casey Jones; Probably a bit unhinged, due to a short circuit, or a loose screw, or an error in his programming, he's always looking for a fight and, if it weren't for his team, he'd likely go too far. You could take the barroom brawler trait to use improvised weapons. These would be exact opposite of Hexbolt, which could be fun, but I'm not sure it'd be the best dynamic for us.
Michelangelo is the bard, which is probably my favorite class. He's always got the tunes and a good joke at the ready. Hexbolt could have created him as a friend. You could play up his naivety and lack of understanding. I'd probably have Mikey attend the College of swords so he can learn lots of Ninja skills, but Lore would provide the mechanics to make this build more similar to the April build above.
The Splinter option is a monk with the sage background. You could have your warforged programmed with weapons and martial arts techniques. Hexbolt could have built him for training and advice.
Love it! I'll go wizard then. I'm comfortable playing a female if you want, to try and replicate April a little closer - I assume you're mainly referring to the shows? I'll brush up on her personality.

((Yeah, the 2003 show is my favorite for nostalgic reasons, but the 2012 versions really make each character feel distinct and they have more personality. I also like that they made April younger so it makes more sense for her to hang out with the turtles as friends rather than as a witness protection agency. However, my favorite version of April is in the 2007 CGI movie. I could talk turtles all day.))
Could I run a campaign? I just got the dragon trilogy and i cant wait to run it.

Yeah basically you make a character in the character topics and the respective DM will approve it and tell you where you fit in.
