But generally we can create an extra series for a language if the books are splitted differently than in original series

All editions with the same content should be combined; even if that means only some of the books in that language are combined because that translation is not split, and others are not combined, because the translation is split in multiple books.
And please note the difference between merging and combining: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/2...

I wanted to say to combine, sorry

I have seen that some people create a series only to keep the different volumes together... But I don't think that this is correct. I only wanted to be sure what to do in this case

but there is also a separate series for them/that numbering of the split versions https://www.goodreads.com/series/1055...
and they are only non primary works in the main series

I know, but I want to know what is the best way to do this? (that was just an example, I'm not changing that series, it's for another set of books that I want to add)
1) If I need to create a new series for that language where it's going to be listed as: Book 1, Vol 1 (New Series, #1), Book 1, Vol 2 ( New Series, #2), Book 2 (New Series, #3), etc.
2) Or if I create a series to the book with volumes only [Book 1, Vol.1 (Book 1, #1), Book 1, Vol.2 (Book 1, #2)] and merge the ones that aren't divided with the original version of the book.
3) And finally, if I'm completely wrong about the last two methods :D
Thanks!
