Who did you first suspect the killer to be?

Same here. As I read, I did begin to think it was one of the four but then my mind went back to Simon.

Same, I truly thought that the teacher had some grudge against Simon, since he had posted all these things about his students that may have put the school in jeopardy.

I thought at first it was going to be Mr. Avery at first, then I thought Avery, then Addy. Nate just didn't seem to be suspicious.

I suspected the killer to be addy. It couldn't be cooper because the death was in his point of view. Nate was obviously not the killer, she made sure that he was the one you least suspect. Bronwyn is who everyone suspected because she was smart. I most medium suspected addy, so i thought it was her.

I kindove thought it was the Teacher at first but thought he was trying to aim for someone else and accidentally got Simon.

But then Jake and Browyn were being hella suspicious.

I tried not to suspect any of the characters because they all seemed to suspicious. The only person who I knew wasn't the killer was Nate. But I also considered Simon killing himself.

When I first read the book, I thought that Simon would be the kind of person to do that to himself, and so my long term guess had been Simon but around three quarters in, I started thinking it was Jake, but I had no idea they did it together honestly.

So my friends and I read the book together and right off the bat, I knew none of the characters did not have the balls to kill Simon. It was also suspicious that we (the reader) never got to see in Simon's eyes before the time of his death. Then for a brief moment it was mentioned of how Simon's allergic reaction could been delayed which only made me consider his death a suicide.

I couldn't decided weather it was Bronwyn or (what was Abbys boyfriends name again?) Jake?
I thought it was Bronwyn because she's smart and has a reason to hate him and Jake because he's a d**k.

I thought it was brownyn too, just because her pov always felt so long compared to the other characters. The author also hyped her up to be really smart and intelligent, I thought it was a perfect way to set up the to be murder, but then she started getting close to nate and I don't think someone who has the heart to kill would genuinely be upset by a boy. Then I suspected jake just because he was so distant from all the characters and didn't speak much to them unless spoken too, and his rage in scene were they talked about brownyn or anyone he cared about or anything he cared about. His rage just seemed very strong and the fact that the author never established a relationship with simon and nate until the end seemed sus.

In the beginning I didn't suspect anyone. I knew it couldn't be Browyn, Addy, Cooper, or Nate because it was from their POV's. And, that would give it away if it was one of them. But, half way through the book I started to suspect Janae or Simon, because Janae seemed suspicious, and Simon,- because I was thinking, "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if it was Simon all along, haha." I guess I was right.

I thought it was the teacher who left the room because Simon got the water from his classroom. So he gave Simon detention, then put peanut oil in the water took his phone and water bottle left the classroom and did not have to worry about being questioned because he was not in the room when it took place.

I skipped to the end (bad idea) and read that Nate and Bronwyn were talking to each other, so I thought it could've been Cooper or Addy. I had no idea until later in the book that it could've been someone outside of the "Bayview Four"

I was surprised to find how many people LOVED this book. I found it to be very predictable and assumed it was Simon after learning very little about him, purely based on the type of kid he was.

I thought it was Bronwyn at first since she was smart enough, then Addy because she acted suspicious about the EpiPens, then at some point I was thinking through possibilities and briefly considered that it was a suicide, but I dismissed that for some reason and figured somebody snuck in from outside during the car crash. I put the Post-its together a few pages before Kris, and was pleasantly surprised when it got revealed. I was like, yay, I thought of that, but also hadn't really expected it, which was the right amount of suspense for me.

I genuinely didn’t know who it could be .. I liked each character and I felt like none of them could actually be capable of such a thing!

Even when the story unfolded and things came out about each of them; I still didn’t think it was one of them.

Honestly I originally thought it was Addy because she didn't do anything when Simon was dying and she was so dependent on Jake.
Then I thought it was Cooper because he didn't want his dad to know he was gay.
And at some point I had a feeling it was going to be Simon himself the only thing that confused me was the title honestly but i never suspected Jake to be involved even though he disgusted me from the beginning with the way he treated Addy.

My first impression was that their teacher was the most shady person. He didn't get grilled down but he was there with all of them. He leaves the room very conveniently. And no one suspected him so I thought the author was building up the story to be like any one of them(with POV'S) could have been the killer, but guess what it was none of them. And actually that was what happened just different culprit
