Empty Bookshelf

Is it true that every book you read- you write a message inside and leave wherever it was finished for someone else to find? Bus, bench...etc? Would you tell me the reasoning behind this? My books are filled with markings and I relate them to a journal.It would be hard to imagine parting ways with such treasures.

Picture this: books on shelfs waiting only for dust to cover them!
I hate that sad picture!

On the other hand I have to admitt that whenever I'm parting with some breathtaking story I'm doing it only when I'm sure that it will be in good hands! Hands of my friends with who I want to share the pleasure of reading!

Does it mean that you bookshelfs Mr Coelho are indeed empty?
