First time posting on GoodReads :)!
I really loved this book and the concept of a cast away heir of an Empire, and how he has to deal with securing his empire.
I was wondering if anybody ever found something similar to those concepts (Lost heir/cast away heir; inheritance of empire/kingdom; securing the empire with words or force).
I would greatly appreciate it if you could post anything that may be similar in this topic!

Well. The fourth book of the Queen's Thief series (Conspiracy of Kings) deals with this subject but you can't really read it without reading the other three books first. This is all right because they are all really, really good, :). The third book (King of Attolia) also has themes of this but it isn't as strong.
If you liked this one, you will love Queen of the Tearling. It has a little more action, little less of what they are wearing, but great character development and the world building is very cool. there is a young adult series that starts with The False Prince that is also similar and it was very good.
