Great. I started and was able to read quite a lot over the weekend.

This book doesn't (view spoiler)[ seem to have an end of the world theme, which is a nice change from the last two books. I think Tom, the Spook and Alice being refugees is an interesting idea. We'll see how the story develops. It's hard to accept that they burned the Spook's library. I hope the Spook will be able to write down some of his knowledge again before he dies. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not surprised that (view spoiler)[ Tom and Alice got separated. I thought they can't stay together all the time. I'm not sure using the blood jar was such a good idea. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder (view spoiler)[ if Tom will agree to fight Bony Lizzie. I guess he will. It's not like he's got much of a choice really. (hide spoiler)]

Lizzie (view spoiler)[ seems to be very powerful now. I can't imagine how the Spook and Tom will be able to beat her, especially if she learns about the Grim cache. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure (view spoiler)[ it's good that Alice was ready to use such dark power as the Grim cache to beat Lizzie. It was probably for the best that the buggane was killed and the power of the cache weakened. (hide spoiler)]

I guess Tom and the others (view spoiler)[ will go to Ireland in the next book. Probably not very good for Tom considering he was warned against going there. (hide spoiler)]
