Elizabeth (Alaska) I am not experienced with the NAB process and am not yet ready to dip my toe in this water.

I saw a comment recently about NABing radio plays. If this edition Pygmalion: Classic Radio Theatre Series should be NAB'd, I'd appreciate someone working on it. There are two members who have shelved it, both having rated it only without a text review.

Elizabeth (Alaska) And this one is also a performance.

Z-squared | 8575 comments Hi Elizabeth, I'm happy to do these for you. However, NABing is pretty easy.

When a pseudo-book has NOT been shelved by anyone, then all you have to do is change the author to "NOT A BOOK".

If a pseudo-book has been shelved, then it's preferable to merge that edition, if that's appropriate. For example, in message 1, that radio play has already been combined with the book that inspired it. So you'd need to

a) Delete that edition, so it will automatically merge with the default. Then:
b) Create another record with the same ISBNs as the radio play but with author "NOT A BOOK". This will prevent re-import of this title in the future.

If a pseudo-book is NOT based on a book in any way shape or form, then it doesn't matter if anyone has shelved it or not. Just change the author to "NOT A BOOK".

I'll do Pygmalion for you, let me know if you also want the ones in messages 2 and 3 done as well.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Thank you and if you wouldn't mind doing the others, I'd appreciate it. I got lost in the merge instructions and I'm not in a good place to stop and take the time to think it through properly.

I have a feeling I'll be finding others over the next few days/weeks - would you mind if I just kept posting them here?

ETA: I've now read your instructions for the 4th time! I'm usually much quicker at understanding such things, but it's finally starting to make sense. I may be able to do any I find in the future. ;-)

Thank you again!

Z-squared | 8575 comments I'll get on the other two, no worries. I'd strongly suggest starting a new thread every time you find one (or a bunch) to be NAB'd, as otherwise no one will look at old threads :P

Elizabeth (Alaska) Gotcha - and thanks again!
