Where does this book fit?
The Thirteenth Taledoes it fit anywhere?
i have done the twins, different ethnicity and bookstore/library prompt.
Does anyone know if Legendary fits any where? (I've already done published this year and next book in a series)

One of the previous year's categories was a one-word title (2015 maybe?). If you really want to stretch, you might fit it into the sport category since Caraval is thought of as similar to a sporting event. I'm reading it right now and so far can recommend it for the advanced "recommendation" category.

Thanks for all the suggestions but I've already filled all of those! :( The perils of being near the end of the list! I'll try and have a shuffle of my books to squeeze into one of them.

Yeah unfortunately it really doesn't fit in a lot of spaces - shuffling it is!
My bookclub chose The Charterhouse of Parma by Stendahl for next month. I've already read my book for a country that fascinates me. Is there another category this book fits? Does it maybe have a heist in it?
I was wondering if the following fit any categories:Far From The Tree by Robin Benway - I already have "Book with LGBTQ main character".
The Home for Unwanted Girls - It's set in Canada but I'm not exactly fascinated by Canada (though it's a great country that I had a great time visiting!)
Does anyone know if Sharp Objects fits the celebrity book club or mentioned in another book prompts? I have been trying to research but figured I would ask here too.
Where doesThe Woman in Cabin 10 fit? I already fit the 'where a murder takes place prompt' and ' book that takes place in water'.
Kerry wrote: "Where doesThe Woman in Cabin 10 fit? I already fit the 'where a murder takes place prompt' and ' book that takes place in water'."
Possibilities of Book about Mental Health or Book from a Previous PS Prompt, as it works for the Unreliable Narrator prompt.
Diane wrote: "Does anyone know if Sharp Objects fits the celebrity book club or mentioned in another book prompts? I have been trying to research but figured I would ask here too."I was going to use it for the ugly cover prompt! i couldn't find any other prompt it would cover!

Thank you Meredith!
Harshmi wrote: "Hi guys, where can i fit The Murder of Roger Ackroyd ?TIA"
Depending on your taste, it could be a book with an ugly cover. If you don't live in England, you could use it for the prompt: book set in a country that fascinates you. The 2016 challenge has a murder mystery and 2015 had a book with a female author, so you could use either of those as your favorite prompt from a previous year.
Nadine wrote: "Harshmi wrote: "Hi guys, where can i fit The Murder of Roger Ackroyd ?TIA"
Anti-hero?"
Oh yes ..perfect! Thank you :)

Those are excellent suggestions! Have to check which prompts Ive already used. Thanks
Liz wrote: "Where would Girl Waits With Gun fit? True Crime?"It sounds like it could also be a book based on a real person or depending on your interpretation of categories, feminism.
Liz wrote: "Where would Girl Waits With Gun fit? True Crime?"
it's a stretch but you could do it. It's a novelization based on real events.

A book based on a real person fits better, thanks!
Hi! Where would life, the universe and and everything by douglas adams, so long and thanks for all the fish by douglas adams, mostly harmless by douglas adams, young zaphod plays it safe by douglas adams, the princess bride by william goldman, neverwhere by neil gaiman, children of blood and bone by tomi adeyemi fit? Please and thank you.
Stephanie wrote: "Hi! Where would life, the universe and and everything by douglas adams, so long and thanks for all the fish by douglas adams, mostly harmless by douglas adams, young zaphod plays it safe by douglas..."I'd venture Princess Bride as a childhood classic.....
Stephanie wrote: "Hi! Where would life, the universe and and everything by douglas adams, so long and thanks for all the fish by douglas adams, mostly harmless by douglas adams, young zaphod plays it safe by douglas..."Any of the Douglas Adams can be next book in a series. Most of them have at least a portion on a different planet if not the whole book.
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish has an animal in the title.
I used Children of Blood and Bone for allegory but it fits a few other like published 2018 or author of a different ethnicity (depending on your ethnicity).
The Princess Bride could be from a movie you've seen. (view spoiler)
Jen wrote: "Stephanie wrote: "Hi! It's quite a bit more harsh and involved than the movie from what I remember.
Raquel wrote: "Jen wrote: "Stephanie wrote: "Hi! Where would life, the universe and and everything by douglas adams, so long and thanks for all the fish by douglas adams, mostly harmless by douglas adams, young z..."I think it depends on you! Certainly childhood for me (about 9 or 10 I think)
Jenna wrote: "Hello All,Just started Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney. For anyone that has read this, could it be used for the Villain/Antihero or Mental Health prompt? Thanks!"
I've been wondering about this myself... I guess you could say anti-hero..... I'd love to read more opinions
Ideas guys, I just started reading Doing Harm: The Truth About How Bad Medicine and Lazy Science Leave Women Dismissed, Misdiagnosed, and Sick, but it doesn't really fit where I was going to put it in ATY ( narrative non fiction) and I have other books I want to put there. Ha! Still deluding myself that I'll finish a challenge...
Other places I could put it :
ATY : Science book/Science Fiction book ( REALLY want to read Enders Game though)
Text only Cover if I ignore the pill... ( REALLY want to read Exit West though)
Published in 2018 by an author I've never read before ( REALLY want to use fiction here...not winning)
Book Riot ? maybe a book of Social Science??
And here for Popsugar , again I could just throw it in a book published in 2018, but would it fit for A micro history? Because thats what Im thinking of doing??
Thoughts?
Thematically it sounds like it fits microhistory, but to be a true microhistory I think it needs a historical aspect of the theme, and that´s difficult to see from the description. But I´m guessing there must be some historical aspect as to how science and medicine have come to be this way when it comes to treating women. And voila, there is your microhistory. It sounds like you are at the same point in the challenge as I am, where I´m in the process of accepting that I´ll have to put books that fit alright and I have read, and not the books I still haven´t read that fits perfectly!
Johanne wrote: "Thematically it sounds like it fits microhistory, but to be a true microhistory I think it needs a historical aspect of the theme, and that´s difficult to see from the description. But I´m guessing..."Thanks Johanne, I had the same thought :-)
Looking further into the shelves it will fit either Microhistory OR a book of Social Science perfectly so its going under one of those prompts. I'll figure it out as I finish and can always move it around at the end as I get to other books .
Its definitely historical, It goes back into the history of FDA trials and studies of medicine and medications and the exclusion of women from those studies, and the lack of changes to this practice over time. It also works for Social Science, as it is a book about women's studies, feminism, sociology etc.... lots of shelves for all of these topics.
It might also work for feminism?I saw a very interesting documentary a while ago, about how women´s pain are not registered as seriously as men´s when going to the emergency wards, with the effect that they are put to wait longer, and acute medical issues were sometimes overlooked. Basically because women are "hysterical". This makes me so mad. (And anyone who has ever given birth must know that women are probably built for pain, so when it hurts it HURTS).
Johanne wrote: "It might also work for feminism?I saw a very interesting documentary a while ago, about how women´s pain are not registered as seriously as men´s when going to the emergency wards, with the effect..."
Ugh! Thats exactly what this book is about "hysteria" and I've been going through something similar which is why I was so interested in reading it. I haven't gotten to the good stuff yet, so far just a lot of research background.
It would definitely fit under feminism but I read We Should All Be Feminists early on in the year... although I could change that to text only cover for ATY.. So many possibilities. I'll figure it out by the end of the year lol.
Haha oh my. You have so many challenges going on... I just put the book on my tbr, it sounds very interesting.
Johanne wrote: "Haha oh my. You have so many challenges going on... I just put the book on my tbr, it sounds very interesting."Ha! I'm not going to finish any of them except my picture book challenge :D
I'm glad you put it on your TBR, it was a really enlightening read.
monica gaither wrote: "Would Before We Were Yours fit into A book about a villain or antihero prompt?"Sure! The villain in that book is pretty awful.
It could also work as a novel about a real person
Does anyone know where The Power by Naomi Alderman could fit other than book about feminism? (I already ticked that one off my list with a different book.) Thanks!
Could The Adventures of Tom Sawyer fit the mentioned in another book prompt? If so any ideas what the other books could be? I'm sure there must be tons of them out there.
Rachel wrote: "Hi ! I really want to read "No Country For Old Men" in January but I don't see where it could fit (I don't really know the plot so..). If someone could help me with that, it would be great ! Prompt..."I read this for the “movie i’ve Already seen” prompt.
Help please guys! I just finished reading, 'Poisoned Apples: Poems for You, My Pretty' and I can't see anywhere I could fit it into my Pop challenge for the year. Does an apple count as a plant for the plant prompt? Because in my mind it's the fruit from a plant not the plant itself. I get really hung up on that sort of nuanced detail unfortunately :( . Thanks in advance!
Ashley wrote: "Help please guys! I just finished reading, 'Poisoned Apples: Poems for You, My Pretty' and I can't see anywhere I could fit it into my Pop challenge for the year. Does an apple count as a plant for..."Ashley - I see it fitting lots of 2019 prompts:
superpower
retelling of a classic
myth, legend, or folklore (which are of course fairy tales)
multiple POVs
extinct or imaginary creature featured -- possibly
includes a wedding (if any featured one)

It's one of my favorites, so I'd highly recommend it if you need that category filled. It would also fit under "problem facing society today" or "mental health" because of the dynamics with her parents.
